This place was great!!! we had our own basement suite. The steam shower was awesome. We where able to catch up on laundry. They had our breakfast ready and waiting for us. It was a nice walk down to the main street. It was just an easy place to stay. It was nice to have our space!!!

We stayed in the Herring House for 2 days, having booked before online. Email correspondence was great and on arrival we got a very nice welcome from the owners. A lot of effort has been put into the accommodation. It is modern and well fitted out and there are plenty of tourist brochures provided. Wifi was free and worked well.... More

My sister and I stayed at the Herring House last week. We loved our room - an apartment, really. We had a double bedroom, a sitting area, and a lovely and well-equipped kitchen. The bath deserves special mention with its heated floor, heated towel bars and a very high-tech jetted shower stall! The breakfast was delightful with delicious food (bread... More

This guest house was a break from hotels. The owner was very attentive and accommodating and delivered a breakfast to us that was more than two people could eat. We had a room on the ground level with beautiful views of the mountains. Very nice room with a comfortable bed. A very nice place to stay.

Owner Thorir Thorisson stayed up to greet us when we arrived late after a long drive from Reykjavik. Herring House is a well kept, very comfortable house on a hill in the main part of town. Both bedrooms were very clean and comfortable. Thorir and his wife made a wonderful breakfast the next morning and answered all of our newbie... More

We came to Siglufjordur for a weekend in july 2016. The rooms have all that we expected and more, well furnished and equipped. Also, the hosts are very warm, nice and helpful. Higly recommended accomodation in "Siglo"!

The rooms were great. Large and clean. The bathroom even had heated floors. The food was great and best part was that it was served by the owners. The owners treated us like family and gave us many suggestions on where to visit in the area.
