Stayed in room 9 for 3 nights. Room was always lovely, warm and clean - perfect after a long day in the cold. Five to ten minute walk to town that is simple and our Reykjavik excursions were able to pick us up on the door step! Hosts were friendly and helpful; pets were docile, friendly and non-invasive Wonderful stay...

Probably the best guesthouse in Reykjavik. Very welcoming & helpful owners, it really feels like a home and not a guesthouse, especially with the lovely cat and dog. We had the library room which is one of the most unique places I've stayed at, very clean shared bathrooms which are right outside the room. The other people in our party...

Thorey is an impeccable/accommodating host, and her home is beautiful. I highly recommend staying at Gueshouse Galtafell. Just a short walk outside central Reykjavik. Quiet and rural. I will definitely be back.

Absolutely amazing guesthouse didn't really see the staff they just leave you to it but when we did they were really polite and nice and would do anything they could to help you, its not a far walk too the main town about 5 mins if that, place was spotless, nice and warm, TV, free WiFi, iron and ironing board...

Stayed here in early Jan. We had a room outside of the main house with two single beds and a private bathroom. The room was a good size, very clean and comfortable. They were also very accomodating with our late check-in time. Good location as well!

The guesthouse is so fantastic, full of art and lots of character and history. It is so nice to stay somewhere unique, not a soulless chain. It once was the Maltese embassy and is now a charming family run guesthouse. More important to me is how helpful the staff are. I have had so many issues booking trips (definitely book...

This guesthouse is ideally located, a few minutes walk away from the main areas but in a calm area. Room was modern and clean, and the bed was so comfortable we struggled to get out in the mornings! The staff are a delight, as is the Labrador puppy Frank :) breakfast is optional and is reasonably priced (by Icelandic standards)....

we enjoyed our stay, room was very neat and clean, conveniently located, easy to find. Quiet area where we could rest when needed and close enough to everything. Walking distance to see the sights. Would recommend this place to everyone

We stayed in the tower room with a private balcony all the way round the house, it had a spiral staircase to the room which wasn't ideal for my daughter and me as we are slightly disabled, but we'll worth the effort. The owner and the staff went over and above what you would expect to make our stay perfect.

We really love this little guesthouse. We love animals and are delighted to meet Jelly and Frum, these 2 fantastic characters. The apartment is clean with complete facilities; nothing short of at all. The host and staff are very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.
