We had a 4 night stay in October. The room was clean, has a mini-bar, iron, safe & there's plenty of storage place. I'm not keen on the frosted glass separator for the ensuites, although it seems to be popular in boutique style hotels.

Agreed regarding sunspots; one of our Icelandic native guides told us on September 8 that there had been sun explosions in the last 2 days and there would be aurora sighting in the next week... he was correct.

We do not have air conditioning in the rooms as it is very rarely needed in Iceland and usually enough to open the window. We do have radiators if the rooms which you can control if you need to heat up the room.
