We stayed a couple days at a locale guesthouse then moved here when we decided to extend our stay. Hotels in Iceland are expensive and this was a great value compared to the guesthouse. We were able to check in early - 10:30 a.m. The reception was able to arrange our airport transfer and store our luggage before departure. We...

We booked a trip through Friendly Planet to Iceland. They booked this property for our stay. The best part about the Center Hotel Plaza is it's location, walking distance to everywhere right in the heart of the city center. There are so many restaurants and pubs you can't hit them all and lots of little shops. In addition the staff...

The hotel is in the best location in Reykjavik walking distance to plenty of restaurants, bars and local attractions. The service at reception and breakfast were excellent but the rooms are very basic. We had an awful view of some flats at the back of the hotel room 362 but it was quiet and not a bad size. There was...

It was quite a basic hotel, the rooms were more 2 star than 3 star. Very friendly staff, great selection at breakfast, something for everyone - sausages, breads, pastries, cheese and hams. Shampoo and body wash provided. Very clean

Very disappointed with our room. Elevator to floor three and then cross a bridge to second floor... WARNING, you end up in the oldest part by the look of it. We went to bed after midnight, but could not sleep well due to noise from outside, clatter from the corridor and in the early morning, noise from above. Really frustrating....

We went to Iceland for New Years. We arrived at center hotel plaza to check in and were told that we were "bumped to their sister hotel". Our reservations were made a year in advance and no explanation was provided when we asked why we had been bumped. In good faith that the hotel we were bumped to was of...

We stayed one night in the CenterHotel. Check in was quick and friendly. Rooms comfortable. Tea and coffee in the room. Wifi was good and free. Close to many restaurants More like a boutique hotel. Breakfast was average. Great location and we would stay here again.

The hotel wasn't our first choice, but turned out to be pleasant enough, and the staff was very nice and welcoming. The breakfast was ok, but unfortunately there was no restaurant for dining or lunch. However, there were many lounges - one with a warming (fake!) fireplace! The rooms were quite large and spotlessly clean! All in all, quite a...

Center Hotel Plaza is a perfect location when staying in Reykjavik..there are plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops nearby. Tours will pick you up and drop you off at the hotel. Taxis are extremely expensive, so being able to walk around the city easily from this location is wonderful. We arrived at the hotel at 6 a.m. and we were...

  • Nothing more than a simple soap available.
