This review comes almost a year late. 3 friends and I went to Baldursbra and were met with an overwhelmingly friendly reception. The rooms were spotless as were the shared bathrooms. Service was impeccable and Evelyne and her husband were a great help in organising tours for us and even woke up to give us an extra early breakfast the...

We arrived in Reykjavik at 6:30 in the Morning. We got to the Baldursbra Guesthouse around 8:00. Breakfast was waiting for us and we could check into our room immediately without any additional charge. We were only staying in Reykjavik one night (we were checking out Iceland on our way from Denver to London), leaving the next day at 4:30...

I stayed here in november for 4 nights and would highly recommend this guesthouse. Evelyne is a fantastic host and so so helpful! We had a twin room which was nice and clean with towels changed everyday, Evelyne even gave us towels for the blue lagoon to save us spending money hiring them! Great nightly rates especially compared to the...

I stayed here for 3 nights in July 2012. What a great place to stay in a wonderful city. Within walking distance of nearly every tourist site. Evelyn is a superior host, the rooms are clean and comfortable. I travel alone and felt very safe.

Arrived early in the morning at the guest house and Evelyn the owner made us feel immediately at home by her friendly approach and by offering us breakfast. This was much appreciated as we had travelled far and left really early. Our triple room was clean and each day we had fresh towels, beds made and bins emptied. Evelyn helped...

We spent 4 nights here in September. Our room on the top floor (38 steps) was spacious, comfortable, and had a wonderful view. There was a table, chairs, double bed, and another twin bed. The bathroom was shared with 1 other room and was always clean. Our hostess Evelyne was very helpful in offering suggestions and answering questions. The breakfast...

We arrived at 8:30am and were greeted warmly and we were even offered to help ourselves to the breakfast buffet! This was really appreciated and not expected. Breakfast (on both days) was great: boiled eggs, two kinds of bread for toast, jams, Nutella, cheese, meats, olives, cucumber and tomato slices, cereal and milk, juice, coffee and tea. The room: we...

During my recent visit to Reykjavik, I stayed at the Baldursbra Guesthouse and cannot say enough good things about the warm welcome and hospitality I received. The rooms are very comfortable, the guesthouse is within a short walk of the center of town but off the beaten path so it is quiet, and Evelyne puts great effort into making a...

This place is nice for the price, with private rooms and shared bathrooms. The location is in a quiet part of town but very walkable to the main street in Downtown. No complaints, plus a helpful attentive staff that provided free breakfast and tips when booking tours. Would definitely recommend, but don't expect anything fancy.
