Hello Ronald R. Let me start by saying that i am very sad this was your experience with us. We have not had a complaint about our service at Tjarnargata before so of course we looked closely at this one. The thing is that the breakfast table is set until 9:30. If there is time, we have been bending the time and keep it up for longer, but it prolongs the working day of the worker. This time, unfortunetly, it was not a possibility since this worker had to attend school later that day. I am sorry for this misunderstanding, but it has always been clear that the breakfast is until 9:30, the confusion must come from the day before, when this same worker bent the rules and kept the buffet up for a bit longer. But there a very small chances that this worker was rude or even shouted, these are sides i have never seen before. So here are the workers words. "They came when I was clearing up and I told them that breakfast was over. Loaded with frustration the mother in this family looks me in the eyes and starts loading a plate with food from the halfway-cleared up table. I tell her that I cannot bend the rules today but she keeps loading her plate in rebel. I would have loved to keep the buffet up for longer but I had to attend school after work and could not keep the whole buffet up for a party of three. I am sad you got offended by that. But you got offered to eat anyway, after I cleared up, just grab what you wanted and clear it up when finished. And you accepted. It is not true that you and your family had to go downtown for breakfast, you and your family left Tjarnargata with your bellys filled with food from our buffet, in witch you got permission to get from the fridge after i cleared the table up. I do not understand where this complaint is coming from." Dear Ronald, I am sorry you are angry with us but we still did all we could to satisfy your needs. We are very flexible but sadly we are not always in position to bend the rules. We did not send you hungry downtown dear Ronald, we gave you breakfast at Tjarnargata after the buffet was cleared out. I hope you had a good time in Iceland. With best regards Baldursbrá
