I stayed here for a couple of nights after the bad experience at the other Raddison in Reykjavik. The location is in the middle of Reykjavik, which is the best for tourists. There are many shops, bars, restaurants - everything within walking distance. The staff are well-trained and well-training trainees too. Everyone was so pleasant and trying to help guests....

Radisson Blu 1919 is a great hotel from which to discover the area. It is a really modern, comfortable hotel in a great location, right opposite the harbour area and just round the corner from the main shopping and restaurant area. It has a pretty decent restaurant itself with great breakfasts and nice quality evening meals, we had four different...

Checked in and were shown our charming rooms on an upper floor. Th hotel bar is a pleasant spot for a pre-dinner cocktail and the buffet breakfast has a wonderful assortment of local and international foods. The hotel is close to the center of town, the waterfront and many restaurants. A fine choice for your Reykjavik stay.

We booked and pre-paid a Junior Suite many months in advance. On arrival we were allocated a room that was probably below a business room but absolutely not a junior suite. I went to reception and disputed our room was a junior suite. An extremely rude receptionist was adamant that it was. It wasn't. The manager offered us a triple...

We checked into the 1919 after celebrating Christmas in Grand style, enjoying time in Vestmannaeyjar, and having an amazing New Year (Saga) back in Reykjavik. We wanted a high-end room to relax for our last days to enjoy downtown, and the 1919 was perfect! The suite we had was tremendously nice. Just like the pictures on the website! The room...

The hotel is well situated for restaurants, shops, the harbour and museums. What a lot of Icelanders call the best hot dog stall in Reykjavik is also just on the corner of the road. There are 3 entrances so if you are being picked up make sure you wait in the right place! The rooms are pretty average, but are...

Lovely hotel, good location, central for shops, harbour, Harpa concert hall. Within walking distance of Museums. Very warm hotel, often had to turn heating off in room as too warm. Good shower with nice towels and good selection of small toiletries, replaced every day if needed. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate with kettle, no milk but that was soon provided...

This hotel is pricey for the quality of the hotel. If you wish to stay at the historical building, then you cannot put a price though. However, if you are looking for better bang for the buck, you can find better hotels for the same price that they charge. I also had gold status but I didn't see any upgrades...
