We arrived as a party of six adults staying for five nights in rooms 221, 219 and 407. Check in was smooth and welcoming and the rooms were of a reasonable standard although rather small, but please remember you are staying in a city so space is at a premium. The shower was absolutely amazing - hot and really powerful...

The Hotel room was very clean and practical. The whole building felt fresh although the decor in places was a little interesting. The food available was nice, but a tad expensive. Good range in the bar and very friendly staff, who were willing to help! Fantastic location for activities, sightseeing, shopping and eating out!

My expectations might have been unreasonably high, but I was thoroughly disappointed. Room was not properly cleaned when we checked in (stains on the sink), breakfast was not really much to write home about, and the reception staff was, although friendly, not very service minded. We felt like we were bothering them with any questions we had, and they didn't...

Just back from 3 days in Reykjavik and this was an excellent location. Just off the central square and a couple of minutes walk from the harbour. The room was spacious, clean & tidy and warm! We didn't try the breakfast as we were out for tours early each morning. The bar was also nice and reasonably priced.

Checkin was a breeze. Nice bathrooms. They quickly arranged for the direct-to-airport transportation. Apparently they offer free power bars and snacks between 4:30 and 6:30 a.m. for any early risers. Didn't take advantage of it, but it sounds good.

Even before we arrived the hotel staff gave us great advice in planning our trip. The location is perfect, right in the centre of the old part of the city, close to the harbour and surrounded by excellent places to eat, drink and shop. The rooms are perfect and the staff are so helpful! We will be back and recommending...

This is one of the best located hotels we've ever stayed in. Lots of great dining all around, just across the highway from Harpa, just steps away from the flea market and the art museum. When we weren't sightseeing, we'd wander up the hill toward Hallgrímskirkja Church, shopping and taking in the sights in the interesting alleys and side streets....

We stayed 22nd to 28th December, had two rooms 322 and 302. 322 was much better by far! Our room was normal temp/facing the quiet road (not the square side). The other room where my boyfriends parents stayed 302 was overlooking the hot dog stand, boiling hot and had to keep windows open to keep it cool which let all...

Superb location, literally 1 minute walk from the main shopping and restaurant areas. Rooms comfortable and well equipped. Staff incredibly helpful - there is a specific staff member to help with booking and rearranging excursions. Breakfast excellent.

1919 was very accommodating. Villi at the front desk went above and beyond to make my visit the best that it could be both inside and outside of the hotel. Room was clean and modern. The place had a pleasant smell as did the water, do not believe people that say it smells.
