Oh boy was that a great breakfast! Herring, smoked salmon, cured salmon, all sorts of breads and crackers, sliced boiled egg and caviar , good coffee, avocado and oranges. Very very happy with that meal! I was in room 3b, which had a big streetlight in front. Even with shades and curtains drawn the light was strong for me. If...

Having read other travellers reviews my husband and I were keen to stay here ourselves. We were not disappointed. The guesthouse is really picturesque, especially with the Christmas lights, and the decor is so homely. We were given a really spacious apartment, with extremely comfortable beds and were able to stay there late into our last day without additional cost....

Our host, Ingunn, provides a comfortable room with kitchenette. Breakfasts were friendly, with both she and her guests providing interesting conversations. She made fresh croissants each day, and the breakfasts themselves offered a wide variety of choices, including herring, which was a favorite of mine. We let Ingunn know that the day we were leaving, we had to catch a...

Brattagata guesthouse is located in a quite street less than 2 minutes from the town's center. The result is that you pay less for a perfect location. Room and breakfast were very nice and hospitality very warm and accommodating.

We stayed at Brattagata for 3 nights in October. The guesthouse is in a fantastic location, within walking distance of pretty much everything you want to see in Reykjavik. The rooms are clean and the beds were super comfortable. The breakfast is especially good with lots of variety, and the shared kitchen enabled us to save some money by buying...

Our family trip of 3 women (elderly mother and two adult daughters) was for a 4-night stay. Only lodging remaining for our dates was a shared triple room in the upstairs apartment, which has another bedroom in it as well as shared living room, kitchen and bathroom. We were apprehensive but went ahead and booked. Excellent decision. Lovely host, Ingunn....

We stayed here one night, drove the Ring Road, and returned to stay three more nights. The operator Ingunn was great! The rooms were clean, breakfast was nice, and the location was perfect. I would definitely give this a high recommendation for anyone wishing to stay in Reykjavik.

Stayed 4 nights with a crew of cousins. 5 people in the apartment. It was perfect. Beds you just sink into, a great kitchen, lovely sitting room, everything you could need for the stay. It's so pretty that walking tours stop and take photos of it. We were at the heart of the city but a lovely quiet location. Ingunn...

We stayed for 5 nights and have to say this beautiful little guesthouse was a big part of a amazing trip in Iceland. We went for my 30th birthday and my husband contacted Ingunn beforehand without my knowledge and on our first morning Ingunn bought out a beautiful cake that my husband had arranged for her to get from a...
