One of the cheaper places to stay in Reykjavik. Able to check in after-hours, usefully placed for the bus station. Nicely placed by a park and the University. Easy to walk into the centre. Simple rooms, comfortable and clean. Friendly staff. Recommended.
This is a great hotel in a central part of the city. The staff we very friendly and helpful.
The room was small, but very clean and comfortable. We didn't stay for breakfast, but there was a communal kitchen for us to make tea and...More
The Hotel Gardur finds itself somewhere between a hotel and a hostel, and going into it knowing that you won't be disappointed. The room seemed to have been decorated recently as did the shared bathrooms and shower facilities (there are private cubicles though!). The self...More
It was clean and nothing really wrong with the accommodation. The lady at the reception was nice and the reception was open 24/24 which was helpful in our case - coming late and flying out very early.

A descent hotel with beds on the very soft side. Quiet much nice from the hallway. Clean rooms. Close to BSI/Flybus terminal, a 10 in walk, and the domestic airport. 10 min walk to the city centre and 10 min walk to the famous church.

Dear Tammy,
First off, thank you for contacting us.
We are indeed up and running! Hótel Garður only operates during the summer months, and since we started up in early June, we have so far not received any reviews for 2015. But rest assured, we are up and running!
A taxi from the airport is metered, that is to say the taxi companies have no set price, but rather they use a meter. So while it depends on traffic and such, the price is usually around 15.000 ISK from the airport to the city. You can also book a Flybus at flybus.is , which is only about 2.500 ISK per person.
Lastly, checking in at midnight is no problem at all, as we have a 24/7 reception, so there will always be someone there to welcome you.
If you have any further requests or inquiries, please do not hesitate to contact us!
All the best!
