We stayed here for the first and the last night of our holiday in Iceland simply because it was reasonably priced and it is just a short walk to the centre of Reykjavik. The hotel is a little tired in my opinion but we had a large family room which was quite basic but it was clean and and it...

The hotel is clean, safe and central which is exactly what you want from a hotel for an active Iceland holiday. Yes the hotel is a bit rough round the edges as its old and the walls are quite thin but it's a city hotel and it was one of the cheaper ones in the Icelandair deal which actually offers...

Stayed here for 2 nights at the beginning and end of a self drive holiday. First room was basic but comfortable, the shower curtain didn't quite do its job though and the bathroom became very slippery very quickly, ended up having to put our used bath towels on the floor to mop up the water. Hotel has zero sound proofing,...

Dear Charmaloo88, Thank you for your review. I am sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay with us. I keep an close eye on our tripadvisor reviews and I can see that our shower curtains are starting to get more complaints, so we are now changing them to better ones. Unfortunately during your stay, we had a...

Nice hotel, fantastic location. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms seem a little dated if you are used to travelling, nevertheless they are very clean and comfortable. Breakfast offers a good choice for every palate. Would I stay here again, yes

Good communication prior to the trip. The friendly reception staff. The room sofa cover dirty. Poor lighting and noisy downstairs room. The need for reform. Good parking space. Short distance to the city center and Laugavegur.

We had to take a big room because everything was booked. The room was a bit worn but clean and it had a very good shower. There were young people at the hotel so it was a bit lively night :) The breakfast was a disaster. Full hotel and I needed to be out before 8 oclock. The baked omelet...

The hotel was ideally situated for exploring Reykjavik. Lovely breakfast - the cooked side didn't look all that great, but there was a great selection of cereals, different breads, fish, skyr, meat/cheeses etc, pastries/biscuits and plenty of juice/coffee, different types of tea. Very good value for money. The room was pretty basic, but it was clean and tidy. As other...

We have just returned from trip to Iceland and stayed at the Fosshotel Baron. The room looked a bit dated in parts but was a great size for two adults and one child. The hotel was very busy with lots of groups but the staff were great at coping with what looked and incredibly busy place, but it was half...

Just spent 5 nights here, the hotel is clean and our room was basic but you're in Reykjavik so you don't spend too much time in your room! Breakfast had a good assortment and happy hour in the bar was well timed as we had usually just returned from a great day out (of which there are many) it was...

Located just off the coast and within a 25 minute walk from the harbour and 5 minutes from the main high street packed with shops bars and restaurants, the hotel was well placed . Rooms were comfortable and warm , considering the temperatures dropped to -6 on the last few days of our visit. Our room was also equipped with...
