We stayed in this hotel for three nights in total as part of a tour around Iceland organised by Fosshotels. The rooms in this hotel were the worst we stayed in. Outdated and noisy when we stayed in rooms facing the rear. However, they were functional and had all we required, shower, kettle etc. The breakfast was the best we...

This was the first stop on our 14 day tour of Iceland. We had booked with "All-Iceland" agents in the UK. We will be staying in a lot of "Foss" hotels in the next couple of weeks, The hotel was welcoming. Our room was on the top floor (5th)The room was clean. There was a TV, room safe and a...

Reception was great at arranging taxis and providing tips on where to eat and shop. We went in several tours and the hotel co-ordinates with the tour companies so everything runs smoothly. Rooms were clean and simple - but you wont spend much time indoors in Iceland. Breakfast buffet us excellent!!! All hotels BEWARE - when showering the smell from...

The best things about this hotel are the very helpful hotel staff (particularly Steina, Christian and Lilliam), plentiful breakfast spread and location with views overlooking Reykjavik bay and harbor. The worst thing about this hotel was, unfortunately, the guest room, especially the bathroom. The shower in our ocean view double room was miniscule (about 2' square, with a shower curtain...

It is a good hotel for one night stay. If you wish some more comfort and better breakfast choose higher standard hotel in a town. You can walk anywhere, it is 100% safe, the bus option works but we had a problem with a night one( around 9pm) I think 2 or 3 just didn't make it, so we took a...

Perfect hotel to stay when exploring Reykjavic and the surrounding areas. Very clean and our room was warm and comfortable. Wonderful view of Mt. Esja that changed each time we looked out of our window. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly, early breakfast on the day we left was no trouble, reception was always manned. Lots of variety for...

We could cooked ourselves a meal in the evening and start the day with an amazing breakfast. Really helpful and friendly staff. We had a wonderful 2-night stay at this hotel! It is convenient to both the old harbor and the shopping on Laugavegur. The rooms are simple, clean, and spacious. The staff was very friendly and accommodating - we were able to have early breakfast one morning, and they were happy to help us arrange transportation to the airport. Wifi was...

We stayed in this hotel 2 nights before our tour, 1 night after our tour, and 1 night after our self-guided tour. Each visit was excellent and each room clean and orderly. This is not a luxury hotel but we did not spend much time in our rooms. Great value for the price. It is near to the center of...

Its a hard decision to make re this Hotel. It had its plus and minus points. We stayed here on two seperate occassions. The first room was very dated and need a refurb, shower taps had a plastic piece missing and the shower tray was covered in mud dirt which wouldnt come off. Appeared ingrained.
