Staff were very friendly and helpful. I stayed in a 2 bed room almost like a prison cell :) but the bed was ok. You get free access to WiFi, kitchen with fridge and cooking facilities, luggage storage etc. The buffet breakfast was ok. You can hear everything in the rooms so bring earplugs if you have trouble sleeping.

Stayed there for a week, liked the place and surroundings. But would like roomservic even to clean more ;) Otherwise the area is nice, so are the staff. Breakfast was also good, no negative things at all.

Hostel is very easy to find. Flybus+ from KEF stops directly in front. Hostel is also served by local buses, again with stops right at the doorstep. Free car parking also available. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I stayed in a four bed en-suite room, it was great! Lockers could be a little bigger though. You get free access...

This hostel is super easy to find and has a large (free) parking lot, so its perfect if you're traveling by car. My partner and I had a private room with two separate beds and a private bathroom. There's not really anything within a short walk besides a few restaurants- most of downtown is about a 20-30 minute walk. The...

Stayed here with 30 year 10 students in March last year. The place was great and we felt very safe. The facilities were good and the staff were helpful. I am going back this year. Try and get the rooms with their own bathrooms.

Very easy access by car and bus and walking. Staff try to be helpfull but a high turnover means that very few staff members know all the procedures and information which leads to some wrong and misleading answers to queries. Also the reception has been reducing it opening hours over the years. Overall it is very easy place to stay...

I stayed here last week for two nights in a twin room with en-suite. The hostel was clean and well maintained. The reception staff were always happy to help, and were very friendly. The reception area has loads of information for tourists so you will never be short of ideas for things to do. The kitchen facilities were great and...

I stayed at the Reykjavik City Hostel for five nights in a 4-bed mixed (men and women) dormitory. The hostel is located about a 40-minute walk from downtown Reykjavik, but Bus No. 14 can wish your there much quicker. My dorm had two strong bunk beds, each with a fairly comfortable mattress, a green bottom sheet, a green top sheet,...

Although situated about a half-hour's walk from the centre of Reykjavik, the City Hostel is comfortable and well-connected. I was in a dorm of six, but it did not seem crowded, and the en-suite shower was powerful. The water has a strong smell of sulphur, however this is obviously not the fault of the hostel. We did not make use...
