Everywhere is so expensive in Iceland that it's only fair to say that this was good value for money. Good location with easy access to town. Rooms basic but fine. Importantly they are warm! We had trouble with Wi-Fi which was a bit hit and miss. We were told it was working when they must-have been aware it wasn't. We...

As other commenters have said, the hotel isn't much in the way of amenities, but the location is great for a 5 minute walk to the heart of downtown. The staff is exceptionally helpful, making phone calls for us to reschedule the Lights Tour and even letting us check in early in a basement room which was quite and clean....

We had read very mixed reviews just before travelling and you can see why. It didn't get off to a great start for us, we were waiting in reception for 10 minutes with no staff in sight and my girlfriend ended up going to find her on the second floor. Whether the lady was a receptionist or just a cleaner...

The location of this hotel is fairly good - just a short walk from the major sights in Reykjavik. It is situated in a sort of back street, and doesn't look very appealing from the road. There's a small reception area once through the front door, and a breakfast room around the corner. After checking in, we were directed to...

The great location makes up for the flaws in this hotel. Ideal for those who are looking for a base and on a budget, and who plan on being out and about most of the time. Not for those seeking luxury!!! Very basic accommodation, with not even a T.V. in our room. Rooms are well heated. Bins emptied daily. We...

The room was not cleaned during my stay. Trash can was emptied and hand/face towels replaced daily. No showering supplies. 1 bath and hand towel issued with the room per day. Upon arrival found (room 402) window open. Soon discovered the heat was not regulated, the window had to remain open during stay (as not to cook the guest) After...

I'm currently laying in bed in my room 308 (using the free wifi!), watching English TV and writing this review whilst the weather is savage outside. This hotel is the perfect base of you want to explore downtown Reykjavik and the Harbour. Literally a 2 minute walk to the centre where there is plenty of choice for food, drinks and...

My 1st visit to Iceland a really beautiful country well worth a visit. I had a wowcher deal so this hotel was chosen for me. This is a bery basic hotel if you are looking for luxury this is not the place.. but the location is good. The rooms are small with tiny ensuite no tea or coffee making facilities,...

Absolutely brilliant location. Rooms are decent sized though only twin beds not a double. Still warm, cosy rooms which are nice and quiet. Great value for money. Staff are friendly, helpful and informative. Wifi is great quality and the breakfast is pretty good quality and value for money. Overall basic but comfortable, great value and really great location. Would certainly...
