Hotel Cabin is a budget hotel located in Reykjavik. Our main policy has always been, to offer travellers visiting Reykjavík comfortable and economic accommodation right in the heart of the city. The standard rooms are the cheapest accommodation we have to offer and as the name implies they are very basic but comfortable. The superior rooms are bigger and come with a bathtub with a shower and refrigerator. The Superior rooms with a view are all on the hotel´s 7th floor and offer a magnificent view of the city or the ocean. They come with free wireless internet, a refrigerator, a tea- and coffee maker and a hairdryer. The hotel is excellently located within a walking distance from the city centre as well as the Laugardalur area.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very nice and seems new. It’s in a very good location for driving to many sites in this part of Iceland. Clean, very comfortable bed, delicious breakfast. Thanks so much for the call when the northern lights were out!

Good hotel, nice room, good facilities - Free parking right outside hotel - Location a little far away from downtown - Breakfast OK but the room a little crowded - Room was not made over during the stay

I cannot say enough good things about Hotel Cabin! They responded to my emails, the 24 hour desk helped me get checked in even though it was so late when I arrived. The front desk staff helped me when my shuttle was late, the luggage storage was so convenient. I would definitely stay here again and I highly recommend them because the staff was so helpful!

There were small, twin beds pushed together and they only provided a really thick comforter - no sheet or blanket. The temperature in the room was such that it would be WAY too hot to use the comforter but not warm enough to sleep without any cover.

The main reasoning for selecting this hotel was the price which was reasonable compared to all other available option. Location was Not so good. Rooms are too small. Not really clean. Breakfast was not good. Service was accetable. The staff were to certain extenet, friendly and helpful.

Enjoyed our one nite stay. This hotel is the cleanest and most efficient hotel we have ever stayed at! Also, the two women staff at the front desk were most pleasant and helpful. Very hard working employees! The whole place was great! Loved the coffee espresso machine and the breakfast. The only one negative comment is that we had to actually wait until 3 for our room to be ready and we were extremely tired and really expected it a bit earlier. Otherwise, you guys rock! 😊❤️

I’m aware it’s a budget hotel. But stayed in a tiny room, only window was directly into a hallway. Length of the bed is… short. Some kind of alarms from the hallway went off multiple times during the night. You can hear your neighbor room using the toilet and showering. Location is ok. Breakfast buffet has the bare minimum. Service is fine. Would not stay here again though. I would opt for something else, maybe private accommodation (seeing how the hotel prices in Reykjavik really has taken off).
