Full disclosure: this hotel was part of a tour company package so I did not have to arrange the reservation or deal with the billing. That said, I did enjoy my stay for the short time each night we were in the hotel. The breakfast was a TRUE continental breakfast with MANY options. It was easy to fill up for...

The rooms seemingly haven't seen refurbishment for a very long time. There are water stains on the ceilings and the furniture is really run down. Even the windows partially don't close well and the walls are very thin. Service staff was nice.

The hotel is short walk from the city centre, the breakfast that is included in the price of your room is nice. The hotel is very quiet and clean it needs a bit of tender loving care but is very clean and the staff was great.

Beware of financial practices in this hotel. Rather than paying for food/drinks/room-service up front or being billed for it in a conventional manner, they remove 10,000ISK from your card upon arrival and then deduct your purchases from this amount and then refund your 'change' ten days after your departure. Unfortunately we were not informed of this and it was an...

Dear Guest, We are very sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay with us and that our staff did not fully explain to you our financial practices. Staff was super helpful! We missed a bus to airport and they immediately helped us to arrange another bus to airport for us, really very helpful! However, the room was quite dirty I think and there was some weird smell from the hot water.

Very conveniently located - it takes you 10 minutes on average to reach the city centre on foot. Excellent shuttle connection to the airport and back. The staff is absolutely excellent, one of the best I have encountered so far - 24 h service, absolutely at your disposal, kindly assisting with all sorts of queries and expertly organizing everything you...

I want to give this hotel a better rating because other than our room, my husband and I had a lovely stay in Reykjavik and overall the Saga met our needs as we don't spend a lot of time in the rooms when traveling anyway. We arrived very early (5:30 am) and were surprised to find that we were able...

I just got back from staying a week in this hotel. I read some of the previous reviews and agree that this hotel could use some updating. I do think that is underway, however in the wing/floor/room we were in, that was not the case. But, in the end, that became a moot point to our stay. The hotel staff...
