Travelling with friends and 2 18yr olds wanting to visit Iceland for their special birthdays was a great experience. The hotel was so clean, luxurious, friendly and the staff were so helpful. They set our satnav for us, recommended places to see in the city and even ordered us Dominos pizza delivered to our room. Everything catered for. Only thing...

Went with my other half for new year, hotel is very over priced for what you get. Reception area very welcoming and bar/lounge area relaxing. Food is nice but very over priced. Room was not wroth what we had paid, marks all over the floor, chairs and desk. The domestic staff kept forgetting to gig is clean towels and cups...

Greetings from Grand Hotel Reykjavik. Thank you for mentioning our staff members. Clelia is indeed a true professional and like all of the reception team, always willing to go the extra mile in assisting our guests. Iceland has indeed been increasing in price due to the strengthening of our currency. I apologize if you felt the expectation weren't met according...

Our Christmas and New Year’s adventure began with 20 hours’ travel, arriving to KEF at 0630. Booking a morning arrival at the Grand greatly assisted the 9-hour adjustment, as did the diverse, delicious breakfasts, worth booking the breakfast included rate. The spacious Junior Suite has dual closets, an elegant spa tub and rain shower, one-piece king, and the most sweeping...

Dear KandJ_Alaska I am delighted to hear how much you enjoyed our hotel facilities. Our staff members are indeed extremely professional and it is great that they could help you sort out Christmas and new years dinners. Those days are very busy in Reykjavík. We hope that other guests get as good experience as you and I thank you for...

First of all, we loved absolutely everything about this hotel. We had an early arrival time (5am) and they were accommodating and let us know what we would need in order to be able to check in immediately. When travel time came, the local weather was terrible and we weren't sure we were going to make it out (of Boston,...

I really like this hotel. People are friendly and accomodating. They let us check in early, way early. On top of that, they let us check out late. Tours come to this hotel to pick up guest. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet the 1st time, but then we realized that it's the same thing over and over again. Great coffee!...

Business hotel on outer edge of town. Nice spacious atrium lobby, look for the fireplaces. Rooms were clean Scandinavian design, fairly spacious, well maintained. Euro pump soap so no luxury products for skin and hair. Service was good but not great. Friendly, smiley, try to be helpful but no four seasons. Given the price, all fair. Didn't walk to town,...

We liked the staff at the hotel, they were very helpful in booking excursions. It's about a ten minute walk into the city center...the walk was nice. Rooms were typical Scandinavian, functional and very clean. Ample parking and good hwy access if you rent a car to tour on your own. Bottom line, we liked it

We chose this hotel because of it's proximity to downtown Reykjavik. However, because it was so cold and windy outside almost every day we had to take a cab the 1/2 mile into town (which cost us anywhere from $30-40), in hindsight would have much rather put that money towards a hotel in the city center. The rooms were clean...

Stayed here for New Year's Eve for 4 nights, we booked a kingsize suite but when we checked into our room it had two queen size, when I called down to reception to question this I was told there was no kings available and they were on a request basis only, this was not stated on our accommodation voucher.
