Stayed for 5 nights just before Easter. The hotel was very nice, very modern inside, clean with loads of free parking for your hire car. The rooms were quite spacious and also modern, we had an extra bed in ours and the room did not feel small at all. The bathroom was quite large and the Tv with UK channels...

Grand reception area with a bar, glass walls and ceiling. There is a concierge there so you can help plan your perfect day out. Our room was tidy, clean but the bed was on wheels?!? So strange as it moves constantly on the wooden flooring. They could have put a rug down to stop this. It would creep away from...

We travel to Reykjavik for our silver wedding and we was happy for the hotel But sad about that there was no Foroes flag outside the reception on the hotel and no Scandinavian TV channels on the TV and no Contreu in the bar.

We stayed in the Grand Hotel Reykjavik for 3 nights in the week leading up to Easter. The foyer is magnificent, with a massive stained glass window to the left of Reception, and comfortable seating arranged throughout. There is a sandwich station and it provides snacks and coffee which can be paid for at the bar.The hotel has a Spa...

We were on our Honeymoon in Iceland and stayed at the Grand Hotel for 5 nights. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our room had been upgraded, which was a nice surprise. (+) Plenty of free on-site parking. We'd definitely recommend hiring a car if you can, as it's much better to explore. (+) Varied breakfast and very tasty. Well worth...

WOW this hotel made my birthday trip extra special . The family room was large, clean and modern with enough space for the four of us. They arranged flowers in the room for my arrival and the room had great views of the sea and mountains. The hotel is modern with great design features. Loved the open fire pit in...

I have to say this hotel is up there. Very clean, very friendly and efficient staff day and night. Nice breakfast but not the best I've had. Location is ok. About a 15/20 min walk to city centre although there is a shuttle every 2hrs from 9am to 5pm. This is a 4 star for sure.

I loved this hotel, very clean. The reception area was incredibly impressive and the rooms were lovely. Not much of a view but didn't mind at all. Close enough to take a walk to Reykjavik on the evenings and a shop close by. The spa in the hotel was amazing and so relaxing. The staff were really nice and the...

Iceland is booming again. The central bank has just allowed pension funds and private individuals to invest overseas; the soccer team still living on the glories of Euro 16; one of the worlds biggest producers of aluminium on account of dedicated hydroelectric power; self sufficient for heat, power and vegetables on account of geothermal tapping; 350,000 Icelanders and 35,000 tourists...
