We stayed continued 3 nights and came back for another night before flying to London. The room was big enough for 2 person and we could easily placed our big luggage on the floor without any obstruction. From the hotel, you can walk to a nearby shopping mall. The hotel also se

Great hotel. Food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and was accessable as requested. Would definitely stay here again. Only minor improvement would be USB charging points in room and foyer.

We were booked into the Grand as part of a tour group. We arrived a day early so we’d be rested for the walking tour the next (first) day. Our request for extra pillows was taken care of very quickly. Also, everyone on the staff that we encountered spoke excellent English.

Can you rent a car to be dropped off and picked up from this hotel?
Can you rent a car to be dropped off and picked up from this hotel?
I wondered if anyone knew what time the shuttles run and if we went into city at night do they run they or if not how much is a taxi. Are there good bar snacks available at a reasonable cost? I have visited twice before so am aware of expense but we may not want to go into city every night to eat. Thanks
Hi, Shuttle runs 5 times a day between 9am and 5pm - every 2 hours. It is one way. Taxi back cost around 2000-3000 ISK, public transportation the price of a single fare is 460 ISK. Regarding snacks I would recommend to contact us through e-mail so we can send you our bar menu,.

Hello how are vegans catered for please? And vegetarians? We have one of each arriving in December thanks in advance
There is a buffet in the dining room with many options. We used it for breakfast and were pleased. Generally, I think they are well equipped to meet your needs. I did not see a vegan or vegetarian selection, but I wasn't looking for one.

I have 2 questions - is there a dry cleaner/laundry near the hotel? - is breakfast included in the nightly rate?
I feel this is the best property we have in the town , very close to all essential things , and my cost included breakfast too, the Breakfast area can get terribly crowded in tourist season , but its handled with efficiency i recommend this hotel of you need a 5 star !
