I have stayed at several hotels in Reykjavik including The Grand several times in the past couple of years. The Grand is a great hotel comperable to any large chain hotel. The ammenities are great. It is an easy 3 minute drive into town. Staff are always helpful.

After staying at a ghetto hotel in UK, I was impressed by Grand Hotel. Everything here, like the hotel, is GRAND. The room is very spacious and it's very clean. The staffs were very helpful. My husband and I booked this trip very last minute and every tour in Iceland were fully booked. "Johann" was very nice and tried his...

This is a wonderful hotel. Walking into an enormous high glass ceiling reception area, spacious and laid out in modern decor. Our room on the 11th floor had fantastic views to the North and the high mountain ranges. The room was spotless and plenty of room. The breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice. Every breakfast taste catered for, although...

I paid £ thousands of pounds for a four night experience at this hotel. Did not get what Discover holidays sold me. Whilst the staff were pleasant and people helpful IF I wanted to stay at a hostel type set up I could have booked a low cost B&B and had a better experience 1) Hotel staff walked in on...

After spending two long days in a mini bus on a tour, and two very very basic hotels. Walking into this hotel was amazing! We arrived approx. 9pm after our 2 day long tour ended. Having not slept much the two nights before I was exhausted. I had booked an exec room with a view as it was my BF's...

This hotel was an option as an "upgrade" to the Icelandic air vacation, so I expected a bit more. After being here, I am not sure it's worth it. It is a nice hotel. The rooms are just fine. The staff are VERY kind. They just don't seem to be set up for independent travelers. They have many large tour...

Dear Rowidaho. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We do not put guests in Atrium rooms unless they have booked those rooms, so I want to follow up with Iceland Air about why you where booked there and not in our superior or Executive rooms. Would you be kind enough to contact me personally. I am not allowed...

Stayed for two nights here in Februay. Had a free upgrade to an executive suite. Very nice room. Beautiful bathroom, great shower. The staff were wonderful on reception. Location was good, all booked excursions picked you up from front of hotel but the hotel is close enough to the old harbour to walk to. Walk to Perlan took about 30...

I was somewhat hesitant to book this hotel given some negative reviews, but glad I ignored them and stayed there as I just loved it! We had an executive room with view which was on the 10th floor and had a great view of the city all the way to the harbor. Room and bath were clean, attractive and efficiently...

The hotel is located on a busy main road which is very noisy so if you're a light sleeper, request a room away from the road or take ear plugs! The hotel is about a 25 minute walk into the centre. The hotel offers a free one way shuttle bus 3 times a day, or a taxi will cost around...
