The Borg is a lovely hotel in a great location, close to the harbour & shops. It was a bit noisy on Friday and Saturday nights. These are the nights the locals go out to drink and they really like to party until the early hours! That's the price you pay for a good location! The staff were very friendly... More

Having stayed at Borg on numerous occasions over the last 15 years it was fantastic to come back after the renovations - this is by far my favourite hotel in Iceland and remains to be the place I recommend friends visiting Reykjavik for the first time. It was already a beautiful deco hotel but is now exceptionally smart and luxurious!... More

I stayed here with my girlfriend during our trip to Iceland last year. The hotel is in a great central location at the edge of a small park. The hotel staff were really friendly and the room was well fitted and nice enough to relax in after a long day of sight seeing. The hotel is greatly located for walking... More

The Hotel Borg is elegant & sophisticated. The décor is superb and as Art Deco fans, it was lovely to sit in the lobby and wonder at the work that has gone into this hotel. The hotel is in the perfect location to explore and there are some good restaurants and bars nearby. What lets this hotel down, is the... More

Lovely hotel in centre of town. Close to everything. Very helpful staff, even managed to get us a last minute table at dill restaurant. Comfortable rooms. Only downside was the poor coffee, suggest you pop round the corner to laundromat if your after a decent coffee.

A little pricier than some hotels in town but worth the extra, particularly the deluxe rooms on the 5th floor which are more like mini-suites and very spacious. We didn't eat here but I suspect the restaurant is probably very good, and probably very expensive too. This is a traditional, high quality, high service hotel. Modern and comfortable.

Lovely hotel and staff. Great breakfast with wide variety of food offerings. Great location with great shops, bars, and restaurants in walking distance. Heated floors in the bathroom! Attentive staff eager to help with excursions or with hotel shuttles. Highly recommend!

We stayed here for 3 nights and the hotel is fantastically located just walking distance to about anything in central Reykjavik. Breakfast was good variety but not enough staff to help. The rooms were basic but clean and the staff were very helpful with everything from booking tours, to airport transfers. Special thanks to Atli Johannesson at the reception who... More

We stopped in the hotel recently and throughly enjoy our stay. Good evening meal and great breakfast. Hotel rooms were smart and clean, well decorated. Hotel staff were friendly and nothing seemed too much trouble. Right in the centre and good for all amenities.
