It's located in close proximity to museum which is free. Capital inn has a well equipped kitchen with utensils and fridge freezer. I had all my siteseeing places booked hence spent little time at hotel unless crashing at night after a long cold day out it was not so comfortable bed. Good toilets and bathrooms they were pretty clean and...

Stayed at the Capital Inn with a friend for 3 nights in March 2017. Easy to book a return Flybus transfer at Keflavik airport for 5000k return. We stayed in a double room with private shower with breakfast included. Breakfast was basic; coffee, tea, juice, cereal, bread, cheese, ham, porridge but was all fine. The room was clean and comfortable....

If you are looking for something basic this is the place ,it serves its purpose and its clean, breakfast being a buffet style one was ok . Yes it is a bit of a walk say around 30 mins , but it is actually a really nice walk past a park and the Perlan view point . Taxis are expensive say...

The location while a bit out of town was probably a 30 minute walk to the city centre. This is the cheapest place in Reykjavik but provides a very hospitable and relaxing stay. The common room is very quiet and all cooking utensils and appliances are available. The people you meet are all very like minded and kind who enjoy...

Very bad experience! Stay away from here: the owner and the staff are very unpleasant person! They advertise 24h reception and it's not true! I sent an email to inform them about my late arrival after the Northern Lights tour and they didn't answer! As I arrived there were no reception: only a telephone to call and someone told me...

This was my first time staying in a hostel and am glad I booked it. The price was great, I had a room with a bed big enough for two, although I had booked for one, which was a bonus. Breakfast was basic, but adequate. Buffet style continental with meats, cheese fruits and cereal. No hot option. The chef was...

Great facilities - the shared bathrooms were nice and clean and roomy - could have done with a separate toilet but there was only one time when I couldn't use it and just used one on a different floor. Towels are provided in the rooms, also hairdryer in the bathroom and shower soaps provided and hand soap in the bedrooms....

Clean rooms, decent breakfast. Some of the staff could be more friendly. We had a car so didn't use any public transport but it is a little way out from the city centre. There are however supermarkets and restaurants near by. Overall great value for money in an expensive country!

Trying to be objective.... this is a hostel that offers breakfast and then feels it can call itself a hotel. Rubbish hotel. Not even a good hostel, I've stayed in much better ones in UK e.g. Hatters which had Tv and drinks in the room and ensuite. Our room at Capital had an old CRT in it which meant there...
