Butterfly Guesthouse is located on a quiet street, within easy walking distance to the square and the waterfront. Iceland Horizon, which operates small group tours, picked us up right at the guesthouse door for a couple great day trips. It's a good choice if you appreciate a cozy, homelike place to stay. There's a small grocery nearby, and you'll have...

Wonderful hospitality, all necessities provided. The penthouse suite has a stove, frig, deck and chairs and a skylight in the bedroom to see the northern kights. Central location is excellent as is the host, Jon.

A wonderful place to call home even if it was only for a few days. Jon met us at the door and showed us the kitchen where he provides breakfast cereal, bread and milk. Its' a help yourself kitchen with pots, pans, dishes and silverware, cooking oil, coffee, tee and sugar. There's a computer near the stairs that's available or...

We felt at home here from the moment we stepped through the door. I already had a good feeling about this place from the efficient, friendly and helpful e-mail responses from the owner when we were planning our stay. This was affirmed by his warm welcome as we toured the house and facilities which included a fully-equipped kitchen and comfortable...

Good location near the marina, but just an odd place. The owner was friendly enough and it was clean, but breakfast was a DIY affair and the decor was very 70s. Having stayed at 2 other B&Bs afterwards, there really was no comparison. Shop around..

Staff where very welcoming and super responsive via email during the booking process. Guesthouse is very clean with a kitchen made available to cook in. They even had free bread for toast and coffee and tea. I really liked this guesthouse.

Cleanliness, location, quiet, thoughtfulness of the host. The room was super nice. The wifi was fast and the breakfast (bread and cereals) and tea and coffee were so nice to have in the mornings. When I come back I'm staying here again!!

This guesthouse was cozy, clean, and welcoming. It's a short walk to the city center, but still a great location, and I thought it was nice to stay in a more calm area. Breakfast (cereals, coffee, and tea) is available for self-service. Jon, the owner, was also very accommodating and helpful. I would definitely recommend this guesthouse and would enjoy...

Very nice welcoming and house to feel good. Tasty decoration in the common space and clean rooms. Breakfast for self service is also available. Nice chatting with owner Jon and his family. Guesthouse is in a perfect calm location but very close to center, buying facilities and swimming pools. I would enjoy to return for my next stay.

If you're looking for a warm guesthouse environment close to everything, I recommend Butterfly Guesthouse. It's not fancy, but clean and pleasant with helpful host. There are single rooms with shared bath and also small "apartments". The shared kitchen is well-stocked for making breakfast. Easy to walk to harbor and center of town.
