It is located close to the centrum and the parking is free. The room was small and clean. We used the common kitchen as the food prices are quite high, soup is £5 and a hamburger is £12. We recommended it for couples, friends and for families

Aurora is just what you need in a hostel, clean, with comfy beds and well maintained shared bathrooms. I stayed with a work group and we had rooms in several buildings around the block. Breakfast was good, bread fresh from the oven with a selection of jams, spreads, meats and cheeses. They also have some cereal and fruit. Tea and...

Clean and comfortable, Bathrooms are also clean - although shared never had to wait in a queue and it was clean. Very much within walking distance of all local attractions. The excursions we booked through grayline also picked us from here. It was a family run guest house in a quiet location yet near to all the things you possibly...

Shared bathrooms awful squeezing past a toilet to get to shower smell of drains awful. Had 2 different rooms both smell of sweaty feet both not cleaned to high standard. Tiny breakfast area for 2 different houses this one and one next door. If you want budget and don't care go for it otherwise give it a wide berth.

I stayed in Guesthouse Aurora for 6 nights all up, including 4 nights in private rooms with en suite. The rooms are very basic but spacious and very clean. The shared bathrooms can get a bit messy and waiting times can be an issue, but the private en suite was always clean. Only downside was that I think there may...

We stayed in the guesthouse for three nights and the best thing about it was the location. With a view of the church we couldn't have been more central. It is really good value (especially considering Icelandic prices) and has a breakfast selection to keep you going through the day. It's clean on the whole (although with a shared bathroom...

Guesthouse Aurora was exactly what we needed it to be, a bed for the night and a breakfast to fill us up for a long day the following morning. We arrived here late at night as a young couple on our first stop before a 10 day road trip around Iceland. It was in the perfect location to our car...

This guesthouse is in a great location and includes an excellent breakfast. However, the low number of bathrooms often made it difficult to shower, and required going up/down stairs in the hopes of finding an empty one. In the end it is still a fine play to stay for less than the cost of a hotel, but it may be...

First thing I need to say is that this place is not suitable at all for people with mobility issues. You have to walk, go up stairs, go down stairs and do it all over again. The rooms are comfortable once you get into them. It is quaint. The breakfast room is slightly crowded however the food served for breakfast...

Appears to be student like accommodation. Clean and comfortable. 2 minute walk from Halgrimskirk and handy for shops and transport. Excellent breakfasts served by friendly, helpful folks and a great way to meet other travellers.
