The suite (room 101) is beautiful. The bathroom décor is very modern and eye pleasing, the sitting area is spacious and the bed was comfy. It's only a short drive to the Blue Lagoon and not far at all from KEF (airport). The only down...More
Hotel Berg is a bit located at far distance of most sightseeing, but for a single night, close to the airport, it's worth staying. Rooms are really nice and comfy, breakfast is basic, but you won't get out hungry.
This place has all the amenities necessary for a nice night sleep.
The “pool” is a hot tub. It’s warm not super hot. Located outside on the top floor has a nice feel but a bit cold getting out to it.

We had a loft hotel room, with a small living room and bathroom on the first floor and a small bedroom upstairs. The bedroom had the only TV and no bathroom, which was not ideal. Unless you were lying in bed you couldn't watch TV...More

I believe Hotel Berg only provides a shuttle from the hotel to the airport. From the airport, you need to grab a taxi. You can pay for all taxis with a credit card or local currency. Even though the distance to the hotel, from the airport is minimal, the cost of the taxi will be 30-35Euro. It's worth renting a car, seeing the city/country, dropping the car off, having the free car rental shuttle drop you at the hotel (they will if you ask nicely) and then once you are ready to leave the hotel for the airport, using the free hotel shuttle. If you are departing during non-peak time, you will have to wait 15-20 minutes for the hotel to call a complimentary cab for you, since they won't be using one of their vans. Enjoy Iceland!.

We got a taxi from the airport to the hotel and it was much more than we expected it to be for such a short journey. I can’t remember exactly how much but I think it was 20 to 25 GBP. They do provide a free transfer to the airport though. There is a bus that goes from almost outside the hotel to Reykjavik bus station but takes about 90 mins.
