We stayed for 2 nights in a deluxe suite , first thing we noticed was the pubic hairs on the floor from the past guest(s) The room was ok outside of the toilet proximity to the bed. Almost more disturbing than the pubic hairs on the floor was the breakfast buffet. One of the worst breakfasts I've seen on the...

The hotel is at the top of a hill leading up from downtown Akureyri. In the summer this would be no problem, but in the winter care was needed to get to downtown without slipping on the icy sidewalks. There are two stair cases going up much of the hill, one by the Rub 23 restaurant, and one leading up...

As with most Icelandair hotels, this is a super-modern, beautifully designed hotel with great rooms, excellent food and a very hip atmosphere. The rooms are large and really well designed. The rooms all have great views and espresso machines. The restaurant is quite good and the breakfast offerings were some of the best out of the hotels we stayed at....

Dear SDY Thank you so much for taking the time reviewing our hotel and I am happy to learn that you liked our services and the room. Great location, close to city and all restaurants. Friendly service, very clean rooms. Would recommend and stay again. Delicious breakfast buffet, even for vegetarians including plenty of fruits and juices. Could not ask for more in one of iceland's prettiest cities !

Hotel is lovely, bath was very nice, room was well put together and planned and as a standard room it was excellent --but beds were terrible! Most uncomfortable night's sleep we had in Iceland. It felt like there as a metal bar in the middle of our backs. Also this is not a terribly expensive hotel by U.S. big city...

Great start to our Iceland trip. After flying overnight from Seattle to Reykjavik, we hopped on the next flight to Akureyri. No problem checking in early afternoon, which was greatly appreciated since we needed a rest from the long travel day. The hotel is located on a hill above city center. Easy to walk there, weather permitting. Our room facing...

Beautiful setting, charming environment. Staff were extremely polite and helpful. My wife and I visited here for afternoon tea Firstly just before Christmas and ended up booking the Christmas Dinner Buffet. The afternoon tea was perfect and they catered so well for my vegetarian wife, very creative twist using Icelandic ingredients. The Christmas Buffet, well, I can honestly say I...
