Hotel Astor is a little more expensive than the big chain hotels in Vaasa, but definitely worth the extra euro. The building is beautiful, so are the reception, corridors and the breakfast room. Rooms - at least the one we were in - a little more standard. Staff are super-friendly and the overall feeling is very nice and a little luxury. There are three client parking spaces, first come first served, which are very small, so don't bother with a big car. The room did not have a safe, and the a/c made a horrible noise. So maybe not so nice option if it's hot. Best part and a nice surprise was the sumptuous breakfast with waffle irons, and the beautiful breakfast room!

Had a suite for 3 of us. It was roomy, very nice. The hotel was charming with a wonderful buffet breakfast , & a small bar sitting room with library. It was a short walk to a tori, shopping, restauarant area.

This small hotel is located literally a single minute's walk from the train station. There's a lot to like here: attentive service, tall rooms, comfortable bedding, very nice breakfast and a cozy wood-paneled library room for a late-night drink. We didn't visit other hotels in Vaasa but I'd imagine this one probably has more character than the larger chain hotels.

Very charming hotel on a perfect location - close to the center of the city and with very cosy and friendly atmosphere. I had a large and well equipped room, the breakfast was just another plus - delicious with lots of options.

A small and very cozy hotel. Has by far the best breakfast of all hotels in Vaasa. The staff is very friendly and coming to the hotel feels like coming home. The rooms are very clean and some even have their own sauna. Astor is centrally located next to the railway station. I highly recommend this hotel for your next stay in Vaasa.
