We had two basic twin rooms with extra bed. Rooms were very basic with outdated interior. Rooms was clean. Sofa bed was bad and not suitable for older kids. Tv was updated to today's standard. Minibar didn't exist. Toilet was basic and functional. Breakfast was good standard quality varying bit day by day. It was served spacious restaurant with sea views which was nice. No big queues were formed. Hotel surroundings are nice with sandy beach and outdoor terrace which was decayed though. Tropiclandia waterpark-spa is just next to hotel. Other services are not nearby. Parking is free on the large lot. This is family hotel so expect some kids noise.

Stayed here one night. Room was kind a small but nice and clean. In toilet there is not enough room sit and reach paper at same time.. At restaurant in the evening there was only 3 waitresses so it was a nightmare to get any food. Breakfast in the morning was more than excellent!!

Scandic Waskia is an old hotel but well kept. They are currently doing room upgrades in one part of the hotel. The hotel is located some two kilometres from Vaasa city centre on an island of Vaskiluoto. The setting for the hotel is quiet and beautiful as the sea surrounds the hotel from two sides. Our room was standard but quite comfortable. The breakfast was good and sumptuous. There is a spa next to hotel which can be used by hotel guest for a small fee.

First time staying in this hotel, very positive experience! Hotel and restaurant personel both very kind and helpful. Facilities clean and nice, bit old but well kept. Free gym open 24h/day with new devices, very little used. Super nice evening sauna, free too. Breakfast was peaceful and clean, but a bit tasteless, nothing serious though. Will I can back here? Yes, I will certainly!

We arrived the hotel late in the evening after a long journey on the road and then headed to the resturant for dinner. The male waiter ignored us on purpose even though my husband kept signaling him hat we are ready to take our orders. We were kept waiting for more than one hour he didnt even consider that we had a small baby with us. At last we were fed up with waiting and we complained to the nice lady waiter who apologized on his behalf. At almost 10pm we had to look for a restaurant outside the hotel because we were starving. We have stayed in this hotel a couple of times when we have road trips, the rooms are okay and neat but this would be the last time we would lodge there and it is because of the bad treatment we received from that waiter.

Dear Adakujennifero, thank you for giving us feedback. We are very sorry to read what happened to you. Our sincerest apologies to you and your family. We don't want our guests to feel this way so we will most certainly address this issue with the waiter involved. We understand that this will affect your future visits in Vaasa but we hope that you would stay with us again. Best regards, Heidi Perälä, Shift leader Front office
