Nice hotel, partly old but renovated. Large room with sauna and jacuzzi - both worked well. A separate toilet with luxurious outlook. Loud air conditioner. Breakfast with a large selection of foods and drinks, both hot and cold.
Great breakfast. Clean room. Ok service. Overall good hotel but nothing special. Good family room. Double bed was two separate single beds. Central location close to city centre and restaurants. - didn’t have free parking…
Great accommodation, nice breakfast and good location. The railway is closeby, and the building has nice views over Vaasa. The hotel is close to the centrum with easy access anywhere. Theres also a parking hall with underground access directly to the hotel, which makes it enjoyable to come even during bad weather.
Hotels location was brilliant. Breakfast was absolutely great. Our room has sauna+jacuzzi which were nice bonus for our kids. We had little problems with AC machine. It was way too noisy and I think the machine did not work properly. Automatic mode apparently did not work. I had to adjust it couple times during the night. For hotel maintenance: Laminate flooring in sauna+jacuzzi rooms won't stay intact for long time. Vinyl flooring would be better choice. I would stay in the hotel again.
Room had its own sauna and yacuzzi. Sauna's 'laude' was litlle squeky. Some surfaces had worn a bit. Bed was ok, air conditioning had to be turned off for the night, got little chilly even on minimum setting. Breakfast was better than average, bread and sausages were tastier than usually. Omelette had tomatoes and mushroom, better than usual scrambled eggs.
Bed was cozy, sauna was warm. All the restaurants nearby. Location is not in the heart of the city. Did not bother us. Breakfest was vegan and glutenfree that surprised me the most. Bubble pool was very nice compared to the prize it is rented.
Overall a great experience. Good breakfast, clean room, everything very close and helpful service. The room could be updated. The furnitures were quite old. It was a place where we would definitely stay again! We loved having a sauna in our room and still the temperature didnt get too warm.
I stayed on the brand new part of The hotel and thus was happy with normal business room. The old part has some nice persolity, but needs now a bit of renowation, as to me it seems a worn-out. Restautant Qvarken is recommendable. I as on a business trip at a time when there was a 1000 people two-day-event in the city. Crowded and also a bit more costly.
If you are staying in Vaasa, please avoid this hotel. I stayed here one night on a business trip. The hotel itself is new, nothing wrong here. But the room temperature was horribly high: 25 degrees celsius during the evening, 27 degrees in the morning. You can guess that my "better night's sleep" was not that good at all. I got a small refund, but for 200 euros per night, one is expecting a better experience. If the rooms are this hot in the spring, how hot would they be during the summer?
Wonderful room with sauna and jacuzzi. Plenty of space and personality. Room was quiet, comfortable, romantic and warm enough and visit was combined with friendly service :-) Breakfast was excellent too. I really hope that the hotel retains these old rooms as they are!!! We will come back again and just to these old rooms. We warmly recommend these "old" rooms :-)
