Detailed Reviews
The hotel interior in general looks like it really needs refurbishment, but the room we stayed in was slightly better and perhaps less outdated than other spaces. The breakfast was ok, nothing outstanding. One of the separately packaged gluten-free bread (bagel) seemed to have some mould in it, so those should be double-checked every morning. The restaurant decor desperately needs to be updated from the tacky viking look. The location of the hotel was very convenient because we were in town to attend to the Jazz, wine and food -event by the pier.

It was basically the only hotel in Uusikaupunki that was near the harbour (we had booked a seal safari for the next day), so this is why we chose this hotel. The staff was friendly and they gave us good instructions. For example after the reception is closed you can only access the hotell via a door with you room key and the elevator stops working after reception is closed.
The room was big and clean (including the bathroom). There was a small television (I would have liked a bigger one with better picture quality) and a minibar with a pricelist. We stayed on the 4th floor (there is in total 4 floors). Breakfast was on the second floor, same as the reception, bowling room and entrance of to the hotel. The breakfast was of small scale (one or two bread alternatives with ham, cheese and vegetables like tomato, cucumber and letuce. Youghurt, cereal, sausage, scrambled eggs boiled eggs, meatballs and porridge. There was coffee and juices, and some fruit and cake/muffin. There was glutenfree bread and glutenfree cereal.).
The hotel was okay, but we got rudely awakened at night by hotel guests at 4am (they shoutet and screamed and slammed the doors, and they were drunk). So if you want a good sleep, take with you some airplugs so damp the noice (you can also easily hear normal chattering from other rooms through the air pipes).
What suprised me (and stiked me as weird) was that the hotel's name is Aquarius, but the decor in the breakfast area was of middle age (swords on the walls..and so on..confusing).

Went there just quick get away from home one night, positively surprised, room was really clean, nice wiew, beds were good, (even candy at the pillow!), alltough there was only one extra pillow in the room, we would like to have 2, one for both beds, dont know if we could get that second one by asking from staff because reseption was already closed. Breakfast was little disapoint, we went 45min before serving stop, mostly empty plates left, even bread was all gone, good thing there was croissants left so we got kinda bread. On the menu we read that there supposed to be much more sorts, but, like i told, mostly empty plates left. No staff nearby so we couldnt ask for refill, so just coffee and croissant with salad and cheese for us. Def could go again, just have to remember, be early at breakfast!

Booked a weeks stay at Hotel Aquarius whilst I was there working. First impressions are fine, close to the water, 10 minute walk into the small town center and restaurants. The hotel itself is dated, the fittings throughout the hotel are from 70’s/80’s. On entering my room you could smell/feel that the room had’nt been aired for sometime and the standard of the cleaning was’nt upto scratch. Settled dust everywhere, fingerprint covered shaving mirror, shower cabin full of hairs and grime, tea and coffee cabinet full of old crumbs, dust and hairs(note my coffee cup was not changed in 4 days).
If I was visiting Uusikaupunki again and had the choice I would’nt stay here again, but saying that it’s the only hotel for miles, so you have no option, they take advantage of the location and lack of competition.

Stayed one night at this nice hotel on our trip from Pori to Turku.
Looked newly renowated and felt fresh.
This summer did put a high demand at the air conditioning and it didn’t really live up to the need.
Fast check in and check out and good service made the overall feeling good and i can warmly recommend it.

I read from tripadvisor that this is "best of two hotels in Uusikapunki".
85 euros with summer discount of room for two is quite much.
Bathroom is clean but interior of the rooms looks like from the 80's.
There is no double beds in whole hotel (as reception told me), only two single beds that you can get together. (uuh..)
Bowling track and culture central are in the same building.
Reception is not open 24h. Only from morning to 24:00.
There is 4-7 couples staying in the hotel that has plenty of space and still they give us room from ground floor, and childrens playing are is outside our window.
Fabulous sea pictures and beautiful words in website but reality seems to be something else.
I'm glad we do not stay more then one night.
If I'd known this we would have stayed in Rauma, Turku or Pori.. or tried the other gasthaus "2 of 2". It did look nice from outside when we were walking in the town.

I have stayed twice at the Aquarius and the staff are very helpful and great to pleased you.
The rooms are small-ish and the beds are just ok, not so comfortable but still managed to sleep probably due to get lag.
Note to Management: change your breakfast menu..... it is the same every day with over cooked greasy bacon, soggy eggs and I have been told your breakfast menu has not changed in ten years......
The location is good, short walk to the river and a few restaurants.

The Hotel Rooms had been recently renovated and slightly upgraded. Nevertheless a room safe is there but too small to fit any laptop in.
The beds are very small but ok
Breakfast is still way too poor and should be upgraded

Though a little hard to find, this hotel is in a nice, quiet but close, location on the estuary. Easy walk to the center of Uusinkaupunki. Mid-line in all regards, there's a Russian "feel" to the property and the staff.
