Detailed Reviews
Our first visit at camping area ever. Nice place, wonderful beach, clean toilets and showers. At night time really quiet place for family with children to sleep. I recommend for families!
If you want to barbeque, take your own grill or woods to fireplace :)

We only stayed one night which was fairly expensive but the camping area was real nice. Loads of space and really nice quite new toilets and kitchen (although no fridge) Nice beach and bus to city is useful. Shame it isn't cheaper or would get 5/5

The Ruissalo Camping offer places for caravans/tents and indoor accommodation. The site can be reached by a car or a bus. The bus stop is next to the camping.
We slept one night in our tent. The price was a quite high, for 2 persons a single night cost total 27 euro (17 euro for tent place + 5 euro per person).
We were able to choose a place for tent on a wide green area, and there were no crowd.
The toilets and shower rooms are in a maintenance building. They were a quite clean and hot water was available. The shower room contains several lockable shower stalls, so you can keep your visual privacy.
For some reason the toilet room was not available at morning, although people were already awake and wanting to use WC. I think, that there were cleaning operation.
The place is situated in Ruissalo island, the forest and the beach are close to the camping site. It's nice to get a walk around the surroundings.

Nice place, but organization of services is terrible. Toilets are closed for cleaning in the morning during prime time between 7.00-9.00. The area is too large to find an alternative. Will not vist this place again and will not recommend to friends.

Place is nice but the service could be better. The staff at the reseption hardly put any effort to answer the questions or even smile. We booked a spot with electricity but the site was tullu booked before we arrived. We let the staff at the reception to know that we are travelling with the dogs but the staff did not tip us at all, which would be the best area stay with the dogs. Overall the service was terrible and we left with the feeling that we were never really welcome.

Wonderful cаmping. Very clean service houses. Good beach near the camping. Very nice girls working in the reception. I can give this camping 5 stars with no problems and we have been to a lot of camping places in Europe

Ok first of all, the name of the place is miswritten for some reason as it should be "ruissalo". It's a recreational area hidden from the city center, really worth visiting if you like finnish nature. If you have a bike I suppose this is where everybody would tell you to go (in summer, but why not in the winter). Might be a bit hard to find so a map comes in handy! There are two beaches, a golf course, the ruissalo spa, camping site, the botanical garden, few nice "beach house" restaurants etc.
I would say this is one of Turku hidden gems that not all tourists will find.
In the summer it also hosts the oldest rock festival in Finland called "ruisrock".

We were 4 people family on the road. needed budget accomodation for two nights. We endup to Ruissalo Camping ordered 4 person room hostel cottage in the camping area. Price for hostel was 80Eur/night. Room about 9M2 for four people can you imagine? It looked like ferry cabin. The building was very old and bad shape. The beds were full of torching nails. see fotos. I did claim the day one, but zero actions were made when we left away. This is perfect accomodation for faqir. Not for ordinary people. Last warning was my local friend told me that Ruissalo constant problem is huge snake population. Welcome to swim. No warnings what so ever noticed.

GOOD:
- Nature,
- 24 hours reception,
- Buses are available at camping to get to the city.
BAD:
- Free wi-fi only in cafe, and it is really slow and unstable,
- No electricity for tents,
- WC is dirty and uncomfortable,
- Prices are high: a tent for 2 persons would cost 27 Euro,
- Far from city center.

Very nice located place nearby the coast with a beautiful beach. Unfortunately the young crew that runs the reception is not friendly at all. Quite the opposite! We called as well the day before to reserve a place with electricity, which they confirmed was ok. When we arrived they claimed they did not have electricity for us, but there were several places with electricity which was not in use but working perfectly. You also need to pay 10Euros per key, in our case 20Euros. After leaving, you dont get you money back, but informed that they will transfer the money back on the card you used to pay with. They have responded our phonecalls, but not emails. First time they said it would take 1 week. Second time they said 2 weeks, and no they say it will probably take 3weeks. Still after 4 weeks and several phonecalls, they have not refunded our 20Euros which is considered as attempt of fraud. Despite the nice location, we would definetly NOT recommend Roussalo camping in Turku. Stay clear!
