Average Sokos Hotel experience with family (two standard rooms, two nights). Parking hall was very conveniently under the building. Unfortunately two elevators were clearly not enough during the holiday season, it took quite a while to get to the reception (so take the stairs if you can, also during breakfast time).
Rooms were ok and quiet. Cleaning after the first day was lazy, sand left on the carpet. The panel for the lamps was a bit of a mystery, but we got the rooms dark during the night. Reading lamps were useless because you couldn't point them away from the bed so the other person could sleep. Please fix them!
There had been a long heatwave, and unfortunately the air conditioning didn't work as well as it should (temperature was almost 24 degrees celsius in the evening). The reception said that they will try to fix it off season. Hopefully this is done in the near future.
The breakfast was very chaotic, too little space for people and food, and no chance to keep your distance during these Covid-19 times. Breakfast was otherwise pretty ok, porridge was great but ran out of coffee all the time.

You are correct that we have had some issues with A/C during the long heatwave and we are constantly working on fixing this problem. The hotel has been built 2020 and it really shows. The interior, restaurants etc are 1st class, but the service of this hotel might even be better. If there was a possibility to give 4,5 stars, I would, and the only negative is the location that is not central. Even though it is not in the heart of the city, you can easily walk, take a bike or public transportation easily to see the sights of the city.
The rooms are very nice and spacious, everything is new, and they have used their imagination in the decor. The lobby, restaurants and all of the public places look really good. There is a really nice rooftop bar and Bistro Elli in the bottom floor serves very nice food. There is also lots of parking space, so you´ll not be needing your car after check-in.
I must mention the service on its own paragraph. We felt so welcome and enjoyed our stay a lot. The personell of this hotel deserve a mention of their welcoming service attitude that is rare today.
I strongly recommend you try this hotel.

Modern, stylish hotel with great rooms. Very clean common areas, contemporary design, lovely bed and huge TV. Our room was on 8th floor with view over Cathedral and afternoon sun in the room. Superb wifi. Free sauna in the evening with amenities and view over city and outdoor chilling terrace.
What else could you ask? Well... friendly staff matching the standard seems to be nonexistent at this house. First, we stayed for 2 nights but no cleaning came on day two. Waited for hours. Tried to call reception 3x in the afternoon, no answer. Walked down and there were 3 staff members at reception but none of them apparently bothered to answer my prior call requests from room. Told them about cleaning not coming, they told that is normal and there is no cleaning between nights when you have a stayover. What? 4 star hotel and no cleaning. Do they expect the customer to take out carbage by themselves? Apparently you need to request cleaning extra. During our check in we were NOT informed that cleaning needs to be requested. They said this is due to pandemic restrictions. This on February 25, 2022 - when even clinic employees don't have to wear masks anymore and THL regards covid as nothing more but a viral infection among others. Ridicilous.
Other incidents that are inacceptable were that staff don't greet you in hallways, not even the waiter of rooftop bar didn't say hello when he passed customers crossing from bar to elevators. Odd and rude.
Breakfast was good standard but too full during peak hours. They could add better bed rolls and more hot options though.
Main restaurant waitress (older bossy lady) was rude stating that if we want pizza for dinner we should rather go to the deli than get seated in an almost empty restaurant. This doesn't match the standard of the hotel and pushed us off from eating here for dinner.
Would we return? The building is lovely, maybe yes, the location was also good, but please do train and change your staff if they don't care for your customers experience. This could easily be made a memorable hotel experience with better customer service.

Dear henri_s, Thank you for your feedback! It is great to hear that the hotel and it's facilities and cleanliness have been great experiences. The stayover cleaning policy is true, it is a chain wide policy that we automatically clean the rooms only every third day. It was born during corona restrictions, but stayed as a part of our environment programs. Of course the guest should be informed of this during check-in, and I am sorry that this has not been clear upon your arrival. Our staff will always prioritize our guests and we will never ignore the phone without a good reason, for example helping out another guest. Greeting is of course a vital part of our process and I have forwarded this feedback to all our departments, so we can improve in the future. Crowded lifts despite it saying only 6 persons. Crowded buffet and lobby area. The rooms were nice, but during these times when services should have adopted to the COVID-19 situation to make sure guests feel safe, the honest advise is to stay away from this hotel during July.

When we arrived at the hotel early, the receptionist took her time to notice us, she could have greeted us and told us she has to finish up something first before checking us in. Then the checking in part was problematic because we arrived at 13:35 and our room wasn't ready. We didn't expect it to be, but wanted to check in when there was no que and also wanted to leave our car in the garage before walking to the nearby Adventure park for kids. She explained a lot about the parking and when I looked a bit confused, she bluntly asked if it was too much and I told her it was, she repeated the main parts in a quite snappy tone. We got to check in and went out for a loooong walk.
In the evening when we came back to the hotel and wanted to pick up the keycards from the reception, we again got to wait not beeing seen for a while. When we got up to the room the sofabed had not been turned down for our two bigger kids, but they had brought a crib bed that we hadn't asked for, for our 3 years old. It made it a bit more cramped in the room. The room wasn't cleaned properly, there are shelves inside the door for storage, but they were very dusty and one of tge glasses had some lipgloss on it, for some reason there were also two ironingboards in tge room. There were also some trash from the previous guests on the bathroom shelf.
The hotel seems unorganized and the receptionists seem so busy with their computers they don't greet the guest. In the evening the restaurant was busy and when dining with three kids you would like it to go smoothly. The positive thing was they had a kids buffet that you could choose from, however I wish they would have realized that the pauses between the courses for adults also weren't necessary as the kids don't have the nerves to sit and wait while their parents wait for their different courses.
The buffet style breakfast doesn't work with near full capacity, and the layout of the breakfast seemed to vary from one morning to another, which doesn't make it easier as a guest to know where would be the smartest to go and get your food.
There aren't enought elevators when there are a lot of guests in the hotel, I've never seen such traffic in the stairs in a 9 floors high hotel.. 2/3 elevators were for guests and one for staff.
In summertime there are a lot of familys as guests and there is no playroom at all in the hotel.
The street noise even on the 7th floor is very notable and on our second morning they blew up something on the construction site across the street at 6 o'clock in the morning and at 6:45... There wasn't any mention of such possible noises even in our reservation confirmation..
All in all not nearly the best experience in Sokos hotels. Hope they find ways to improve the ecperience.

The reception did not mentioned anything that the air condition does not work, while we found out it just after staying half an hour in the room. Fan was provided already in the room but did not help too much whkle blowing 26,5 degrees air. Poor sleep duringvthe night. On the contrary sauna was cold at 17-18. Breakfast was chaotic.
Just fix the damn aircon system as you advertise it and that is why we selected the hotel. The summers can be hot. Brand new hotel should have all things working - now it was far from it.

We do have air conditioning in the hotel and we have also gotten a lot of positive feedback from the A/C and cool rooms. I visited during the spring in the hotel before my current visit. The quality has decreased a lot in few months. When we arrived, room did not have bed set for our kid even if he was part of reservation. Well, bed was set rapidly but all the others like towels, glasses, mugs etc were forgotten and we needed to request them. We went to order pizza but they were too hurry to do pizza since pizza was not the default one but a bit modified. Local pizzeria in 700m did not have issue with it.. Breakfast is chaos, coffees are out many times during the service same for other items that were served. One person taking care of dishes from tables and you may guess she could not do that for whole big buffet room. Breakfast was very bad experience and it seems that other claim the same but hotel does not care. When we were leaving, just the receipt to hand but no queries how was the stay etc. May be they knew already that service was under any level. I do not think I got what I paid so I'm going to make reclamation. Let see what they respond or do they even care. I'll update the review after getting responses. My recommendation is to select Seurahuone, Kupittaa has severe issues in service and general hospitaliness.

The hotel is only 2 years old, so the interior is nice. Staff was also very friendly and helpful. Using M&M Kuntotalo Kupittaa was included in the price, and I highly recommend visiting if you are into gym training. There was also a possibility to visit different kinds of saunas.
The soundproofing is very poor. There is a railway and a highway right under the windows, when you are in the morning sun side of the hotel. If you are a light sleeper these might disturb you. The air conditioning was still the most loud thing in the room, and there is no possibility to turn it off. Room was quite chilly, and even if I turned the heat up, it would not rise over 20. The night was very restless for us, because additionally there was a man screaming in another room, and someone trying to silent him by banging the walls.
After two nights we left with quite a markable sleep debt.

Hotel is new and hence interior is very fine. Breakfast is normal good quality Sokos breakfast. I was surprised since waitress presented what is where and was very polite. Not used to that in Finland... Reception was as expected with polite and customer oriented behavior including Deli that made special pizza to my son. Garage is good with charging possibilities but it is too small if hotel is fully booked. Only minus is that traffic noise is heard inside the room which disturb sleeping. P.S. It seems that in Turku there is lack of toilet paper since when we arrive, roll had only 1cm left and no additional roll. Needed to take from downstairs public toilet. Same happened in Seurahuone last time so I believe that in Turku there is in general the shortage of toilet papers.. You may want to request additional papers from other Sokos hotel locations..

Extremely successful room with great finishes, design and features. It was relatively easy to stream Netflix from my cellphone to the tv and enjoy a staycation here in a stylish large room. Good touch to divide the room with curtains; good coffee machine; microwave and fridge provided; good bed and comfortable ventilation. Nice view on two sides. All in all a great addition to Turku.
