Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I enjoyed staying here. The hotel appears as if nothing major has changed the past 50 years and it is like entering a time bubble. A few things (e.g., the shower cabins) would benefit from replacement, but mostly it is great atmosphere and lovely old furniture in a splendid building in a top location.

Paid over 200 euros per night. stayed in room 303 in a dark room with small windows. The room was crowded with old furniture and was dusty and not properly cleaned. The breakfast was OK but below normal hotel standard. the staff at the reception were nice.

Though a few updates such as new TVs and USB outlets would be nice, the dated decor at this hotel is no doubt part of its charm. The location is great and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. Nice breakfast too. Overall good value for money. Would stay again.

Old hotel, lots of potential but desperately needs alterations. Room mostly tidy but all textiles stained (curtains, rug, mattress cover). Musty smell and major problems with air conditioning. Outdoor on the second floor was kept open for ventilation except for the night (caused blast). Please simplify your breakfast to make it more appealing. Highly overpriced. I would love to support private enterprices but you have to appreciate your customers! Only good things were quiet location, free parking and nice garden.

We had lovely room with balcony on the 2nd floor with bathtub. Bathroom would need renovation but didn't bother us. Great breakfast and friendly staff. Good beds and spacious rooms. Would recommend for those who appreciate invidualism.

We spent a couples' night at this hotel, in room 103. We were happy to get this particular room as it was one of the most nice looking rooms overlooking the garden. The air was a little bit still but not humid like some reviewers have complained, although it was not super hot during the day we stayed there. We had a pleasant night's sleep; I particularly enjoyed the bed and bedsheets, they were very soft and luxurious. The hotel's atmosphere was very charming, I felt like we were vacationing in another decade. I really did not want to leave the hotel, it just felt so homey to me! The décor was a cross between a haunted house and a kitsch granny home, really interesting and unique, there was a lot to discover and look at. We stayed the next night in another, more modern hotel, and really missed the interesting vibes and knick knacks of Park Hotel. During our stay we enjoyed a nice relaxing bath and spent the evening in the atmospheric reception bar area, where we will surely return for an occasional drink. It is the perfect place for people looking for a magical, eccentric atmosphere. The service was quite pleasant too. For the unique experience I would love to give this hotel 5 stars, BUT unfortunately there were also some flaws that did not make it a 5 star spot and which I hope that the management will at some point fix in order to improve the experience. I will detail these things here (and perhaps send a more in-depth e-mail with my suggestions directly to the hotel): The room was tidy but the bathroom’s cleanliness was not perfect. Our bathroom was also missing conditioner, which we would have liked to use after soaking in the tub. Although our room was very nice and comfy, the wallpapers, furnishings and fabrics were visibly worn out (except the bedsheets which were impeccable) and in need of replacing or repairing. The bathroom also appeared very old (not in a particularly rustic or charming way) and in need of a larger renovation. We also walked around the hotel and some of the doors were open for cleaning, allowing us to have a glimpse into other rooms. We were very pleased to have gotten room 103 because some of the rooms we saw were not quite as pleasant, more dingy etc. I was particularly shocked to see that one of the suites had a really dark and unpleasant bathroom; had we paid more for a suite and gotten that room, we would definitely have felt cheated. In order to offer guests experiences of equal quality, renovations should be considered, particularly in the bathrooms, although I can sympathize that during the COVID pandemic, large and expensive renovations are perhaps not first items on the managements’ to-do list. But perhaps even the shower curtains, wallpapers, window treatments and bedcovers could be switched to freshen up the rooms, if nothing else. In the reception bar most of the beers and ciders had run out which was a little disappointing. I think it would also be a good idea to add some fool-proof good quality cocktails on to the list. With the right drinks, the reception bar would definitely appeal to younger, quality-conscious customers. All in all, I would (and will!) stay again in Park Hotel, but I hope that it will improve in the years to come – I don’t want it to lose its vintage charm, but I wish it will re-invent itself as a more luxurious old hotel. It has the ingredients to be one of the best hotels in Turku, if only some of the issues were fixed and all guests would have the opportunities to experience the same levels of comfort and pleasant atmosphere. Nevertheless I recommend this hotel to anyone who wants more than a comfortable, personality-lacking modern hotel room. Even with its flaws, Park Hotel can deliver a true hotel experience in the sense that you will feel like your everyday life is a world away!

We spent a night in this hotel with my partner and his 9-year old son, our experience was terrible. The hotel room was extremely humid and hot, most likely this hotel has serious humidity problems. The hotel room tv didn't work. We had a broken glass lampshade above the bed. We were not able to sleep in the room at all and decided to leave the place at 6 am in the morning without even having a breakfast. We contacted the hotel manager after our visit giving her feedback on our stay. Her communication has been very arrogant and mean, no understanding of quality customer service. I can not recommend this hotel to anyone.

I have had the most terrible experience in this hotel, first of all upon our arrival the receptionist was like drunk, the room was so damp you couldn't breathe, the TV didn't work, my son almost cut his head with a broken glass lamp that was just above the bed. My partner contacted the hotel manager and this lady responded to my partner in a super arrogant way that when I read the emails between the manager and my partner I was surprised by the disrespectful way that this lady Eva Dzoedzic wrote. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Stayed two nights at this charming hotel. An individual with welcoming and helpful staff. Building with a story and history. Has aged well. Nice breakfast. Location: beautiful surroundings, hotelgarden and the area itself and just a short walk from the city centre.
