Very friendly staff, beach access and it’s a lovely place to have walks in. Also it has nice activities that a family can enjoy, which was the biggest plus for our 6,5 year old son. The cabin we got was not in a great shape but it was not broken, maybe a paint job and new pillows would do the trick. Also the cabin we got has not been cleaned for sometime as the huge amount of spiderwebs in many corners. But there was a broom in the cabin which we used to clean the webs out. Toilets were not cleaned or attended after around 3 pm so by 10 pm they were so dirty and stayed dirty till next day around noon time. Another disappointment was the restaurant that had over 1/2 of their menu items not available because they were supposed to be getting a new oven, which the staff didn’t know when they will get it (a week, a month or a year), but their pizza was ok. I personally felt that it was over priced for what they offered.…
Great camping site where the owners have clearly been doing investments recently (at least in the communal kitchen). Communal kitchen buildings were excellent and spotless, but could do with a few more communal pots/pans. Cabins were nice size and fit a family of five nicely in a single cabin - a little old and could be refurbished soon. Toilet/shower conditions were average depending on which building you went to. Nice beach to swim at and BBQ facilities available at the beach.
The camping is a complete chaos, and the toilets are dirty and discusting... Its a shame that they dont take adwentage of the scenery, wich is beautiful underneath it all.. Ive got one positive thing to say- the girl/woman at the reception was quite nice and helpful.
First of all you have to understand that this is not a hotel. which means you just get beds with a roof and walls. That's it. the toilets and shower place are located out side the cabins and they are not private. Don't forget to bring your own bed sheets. Otherwise you have to pay for borrowing them which's gonna cost you 10 euros per bed. If you have a tent or a caravan, this place is nice. the surrounding area is amazing
+ reception was open during the night time - somebody did not check our payment to the system, we paid beforehand - the cottage we got (one of the last ones) was in mold. Awesome. - toilets and showers were dirty Tampere did not have a single hotel room so we had to book our night here. Never again.
Lovely camping area next to a lake. Good facilities with a nice bar and great pizza. The actual camping hut I had was very basic. It had electricity but no wifi ( only at the restaurant). And it cost extra for sheets. Quite expensive. I would stay here again and I know Finland isn't cheap I just thought this was a little too much for what you get.
There are enough kitchens and toilets, which are clean. You have to have your own pots-pans or you can rent them. There are also 2 saunas for rent near the lake. You can play volleyball or minigolf. You can tent or rent camping, besides its close to city.
Good average-level camping. Cottages poor, stayed with them a few years ago but had motorhome this time. Very close to beach, but seawater unreasonably cold (even for Finland!). There is a pizzeria on-site but we never tried that, went to the kebab/pizza place right outside the entrance instead (which was fair and reasonably priced).
the camping area itself was very pleasant with sea and nature. There where different kinds of campinghouses to rent if you are not with tent, or camping car. I had a small 2 person log cabin, it was very small, without anything extra, just to beds. The cabin got very hot during the day since it was black and small, but by night it was more pleasant . They had a couple of facility houses with showers, toilets and maybe also one with a kitchen? In the morning you can have small breakfast at the cafeteria, which is great.
If you're camping in Tampere, this is almost the only choice you have and it's not a bad place. Since this is Finland it's logical that the camp is located at a lake and is sorrounded by a lush green forest. So it's a perfect place to pitch up a tent for a normal price. It's about 3 minutes walk from the city bus stop (the bus ride is about 10-15 minutes) and quite a longer walk to one of Tampere's larger shopping centers. The only real problem is the higene in the common rooms (kitchen, dinning room, toilets, showers) and there is no excuse for that even if we were visiting at the very end of the season. I'm not a particulary clean guy myself, but this was just... messy all over. And even after reporting the problem at the reception, nothing changed in the next two days. It was quite a let down.…
