The hotel is basic but at least the twin room was spacious and comfy. Toilet&shower are in the corridor but luckily there was one per floor. The Kylmäpihlaja Lighthouse location is great so I guess you pay for the location. Breakfast was good. I had lunch and dinner in the restaurant and the food was good. There is not much to do so bring a book. The restaurant and cafe offering is limited but they are open all day. Overall setting was great; perhaps I would not want to stay more than one night but I think it was worth it. Sunset and -rise were beautiful.

A very unfortunate stay. We wanted a romantic stay but got a room next to the public toilet on the first floor. Had to listen to people's talk, voices, etc., from 6am until midnight. Please note there is no private toilet/shower in any room. The room key supposed to open also the front door after hours but it didn't so we stayed locked out until another hotel guest happened to come in. There is no reception after 10pm. The service was unfriendly and we did not felt very welcomed. One time was enough for me.

Positives: The lighthouse is on a beautiful little island with great views and lots of nesting seabirds to watch. The staff were friendly and the food in the main restaurant was good. Negatives: Sadly so many for the price. The hotel rooms are expensive as they are very basic and lack standard things like hangers and bedding such as pillows were just a joke. The shared facilities were dirty and the drainage system faulty so the entire lighthouse smelt like sewage. The smell lingered all day and was worst in the WCs, shower rooms and sauna i.e. facilities you are meant to get clean but you feel like you will come out smelling worse than when you went in there.

Really nice atmosphere, good food, nice rooms. Meeting room was in the chapel, and was a bit tiny. Luckily the weather was super, so moved outside. Rooms are in 8 floors, couple per floor (top one is a suite, and takes the whole floor). You can access the lighthouse via transport from Rauma.

Very nice place! We completely enjoy the panorama, colours, sea, silence and relax. People were very kind and service also good (local beer is very good). Sauna was very relaxing and sunset beautiful. Very far from Italy, but I’ll come back at the first opportunity.
