A good bed and breakfast built in a former school building from the 1920s in Kirjais village. They also rent cottages. The B&b had a great host and good breakfast. We had a cozy twin room with a bathroom upstairs in the main building. Comfy beds. There’s a barbecue facility in the yard. You can also borrow bicycles and rent a sauna. The B&b is located just a few hundred metres from the village centre where you can find a good, lively restaurant Bystrand and a village shop next to that. Suitable for couples and families with small children as well. Sadly we heard the host’s tenancy is coming to an end in August and the place is looking for new hosts.
Rooms were quite clean. The breakfast was VERY GOOD. We were the only guests at this time and the host had provided a delicious breakfast. The host was quite friendly and interessed. She had the time for an interessting chat.
We stayed at this B&B from 24th to 26 of June, 2016. We had one the most amazing time while staying there. The host emailed us before arrival giving us all her contact details. we were greeted warmly upon arrival. A very clean room. (2 bunk beds, a shared shower and bathroom) but there are two showers and at least 3 toilets in the floor, so there is no risk of waiting in line for shower or toilet. They also serve a very good breakfast buffet, which lets you to experience the full nordic breakfast regimens. there is a coffee pot, refrigerator and microwave at the corridor if you want to prepare something to eat later. I recommend to bring along some groceries for lunch and dinner as the market is small. but there is also a restaurant near by. (not sure their availability outside the midsummer period) The B&B is located right next to the nature trail and if you are a nature lover, you will be able to enjoy the walk in the forest and enjoy the scenery at the top of the tower. There is a small beach area ear by (walking distance) if you want to swim in the sea aswell. And if you go there during the mid summer, then the ceremony of decorating the pole and the dancing party 3 mins walk from the place. Over all, A very lovely host, nice and clean place, very good breakfast, a perfect getaway for a person who wants to spend some quality time close to nature. I would love to go there and spend some quality time. I greatly recommend this place for a family, couples or individual traveller who loves nature.…
The B&B is located on a hill in a former countryside school. A place with history to spend relax days enjoying the nature. The restaurant close by was very good, we had traditional Finnish food. We had a great time there.
