The first impression about the restaurant was disappointing. The staff look right into eyes several times but wouldn’t say anything. After waiting a while at the door one of the boys finally said hello and asked if we wanted to eat. The food took 45 minutes.
Very good resort for family rest. Big cottage with wonderfull seaview. It is possible to find activities for members of family.I and my wife very like fishing in resort harbour and in some places not far from.Last year we have visited Airisto in the beginning of October-a lot of berries and mushromms ! More than times we have been here and are ready to visit this resort once more.
Good apartment, quite modern, well equipped with it's own sauna and drying cupboard. Separate charge amenities at location: hotel, restaurant, mini golf, marina (with small shop with basic supplies) and laundry room. Need your own vehicle. Very good access to Archipelago Circuit with ferries which we drove in one long day.
Astonishing place which is built according to natural surroundings where ending road goes towards the sea. No major changes are needed, but the challenge is to maintenance the houses as they were designed.
Like others have mentioned, there is a distinct lack of staff which shows in the quality of your stay. The room was dusty, dated and bare, with just a random, forgotten pillowcase in the closet. There were no amenities in the bathroom besides two empty soap dispensers - luckily we had our own hand soap with us. The bathroom was so cramped that using the shower there ensured the toilet and whole room were soaked afterwards. At least the size of the bathroom meant that it got warmed by the floor heating easily. The bathroom floor, sheets and towels were clean, but the ventilation duct seemed to host its own life forms. If you want to have breakfast here, make sure to come right when the restaurant opens, because there is not enough staff around to keep the place tidy and breakfast buffet stocked. The few staff that we did see during our stay were friendly and offered good service. The management should just realize that 1-3 people can't keep a hotel running well. The archipelago view is a nice distraction from an overall crappy hotel.…
Have to say I'd never had a decent meal or service here until now. We took pizzas due to the very poor food in the past. The imaginative pizza menu was interesting. The pizzas were tasty, well made and had a good dough. The service was excellent by a pleasant multi-lingual waitress Janina for our multi-lingual group. Airisto has a great seaside location so I hope this is a positive turning point in their service.
Visited Airisto Strand -restaurant for their annual Burger Weekend. I had a kimchiburger which was hot and juicy served with good fries. My wife had a lambburger with chevre-sauce - also good. Service was a bit slow but that is always the case in Finland. Views are great. Worth a visit.
This hotel, which is hardly in the budget range, is the only one I have ever stayed in where they did not think ir was their job to make the beds daily. Also the room was very dimly lit with no overhead light so reading was difficult. The bathroom was really cramped, and mostly there was no hot water for showering. The only redeeming feature was that the beds were comfortable.
We took a trip to Airisto to spend some time at the beautiful archipelago of Parainen. We had a dinner at the hotel airisto. Pizza with lamb sausage and mint leaves was an innovative combination. The chicken with mango cutney was good too.
We came here by boat on a rainy summer day for a break with drinks. We were walking around for some time and asked a waitress whether they serve to tables. The lady showed no interest whatsoever for us, and we concluded that they were not exactly enthused with us. I, unfortunately, cannot recommend this place for anything else except for refueling and restroom.
