We parked the car in the private parking area, from where it was easy access to the lobby. Our room was larger than expected, but it had a weird window which offered a direct view from the room to the bathroom. So no privacy while taking a shower. I wonder whose idea that has been originally. The only services the hotel offered at the time of our stay was the room and breakfast. Everything else was closed. It was really cold outside so we would have preferred to spend more time at the hotel. Now we had to go out for everything. Breakfast was good but basic - I have had better in Sokos hotels.
The room I got was terrible bad and probably very old room. Totally unpleasant stay. Not recommended. This type of rooms are not expected from any Sokos hotels. I did not find the staff friendly as i found in many other sokos.
Quite an OK very basic hotel. Rooms were OK and clean but nothing fancy. The location is good. Parking provided, for a fee, but the parking spaces are very very narrow and not easy to find (signs missing). Like someone had commented, if you happen to have breakfast during a peak time from logistics point of view there is a lot to improve. Personnel is nice and friendly though.
First time in this hotel. Seems to be in a need for renovation as rooms are a bit worn out. Breakfast served in an area which is not good logistics wise....again some renovation needed... Breakfast as such was ok and if the receptionist weren't so kind and helpful, I would have given 2 points only. Price for room was 112€ and I think this time quality and price do not match. Location is excellent in the heart of the city.
Very good location next to the Travel Center. Parking space behind the Hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Spacious room with great interior decoration. Comfortable bed, and good desk for working. Nice armchair. Very good breakfast. Warm recommendation.
Been here a few times now, the renovated rooms are nice. Staff at reception very Soviet style, question the guest, unfriendly and not knowledgeable, it was very uncomfortable for me. The treatment was rude. Every. Single. Time. Will avoid that place in the future. Restaurants nice. Huoneet kivoja, respassa neuvostotyylinen palvelu. Joka kerta. Töykeä. En suosittele.
Stayed for one night at Sokos Hotel Alexandra while visiting Jyväskylä in October. I found a good deal from internet and was very happy with the quality/price ratio on my stay. I stayed at the SuperiorX King-room that was in real life much better than the pictures suggested at the hotel's website. PROS: Very good private Sauna with good amenities Big room with comfy bed Good silent aircon Lots of closets Good coffee station at the room Very nice staff CONS: Loud noise from the street late in the evening (some kind of motorcycle parade) Little strange walk to the elevators through hotel restaurant Chaotic breakfast-buffet (too many people at the same time) - quality was still good Room was little outdated (except the sauna)
Stylish scandinavian and good quality. Exellent location ! Good service! The hotel parking was a bit of a puzzle to find due to so manu onewaystreets. The room has Chromecast, a bathtub, fridge and a icemachin in the hallway. I recommend this hotel for your stay in Jyväskylä.
Recommended hotel with it´s services and restaurants if you are visiting @Jyväskylä, Finland. The gym is not available but hotel has co-operation gym nearby. The hotel is located very well in the heart of Jyväskylä city center.
Modern Scandinavian style hotel in the heart of the city. A great choice for me on a business trip. I recommend this hotel to traveler who wants to have a good night sleep without noise from outside, corridors or air conditioning system. My Superior room has a wide double bed, modern room and bathroom. If you don't want any specialty for dinner, in the hotel has two good choices for dinning.
