Stayed 7 nights in Superior King Room. Location was great, just a stone’s throw from train station and bus terminal, and also a short walk to the city centre and Lutakko Harbour.
Room was of good size and we had good sleep throughout our stay, though the pillows were a tad too soft to our liking. Bathroom was spacious too. Shower came with both rain shower and handheld shower, and toiletries were in refillable bulk-sized bottles mounted onto the wall. I appreciated that my requests for room on higher floor and mini bar items to be cleared away were acceded to. Love that we were able to Chromecast with TV and continued to catch up with our favourite shows on Netflix. Daily housekeeping was carried out to our satisfaction. Air conditioning with adjustable thermostat was strong and it was definitely a saving grace during summer.
The front office staffs were friendly and would greet us cheerfully whenever we left the hotel or returned. This hotel does not have a guest laundry room. However, the front office staff was very helpful to arrange with their sister hotel, Scandic Jyväskylä City Hotel that has a laundry room, to allow me to do my laundry washing there. A big thank you.
Enjoyed our time at the sauna and indoor pool too, though the facilities could get pretty crowded during weekends. It would be nice if the sauna room was opened much earlier instead of just 18:00 to 21:00, so that guests could enjoy sauna in the day too. Breakfast varieties were decent, nothing to shout about. However the breakfast offerings were the same everyday, and eating the very same food throughout one whole week could get pretty bored.
The biggest gripe was that after each shower the bathroom floor would get pretty wet. Despite standing super close to the wall when showering, the bathroom area would still get very wet as there was no shower kerb to prevent the water from flowing out. Though the shower cubicle came with a swing door, it totally didn’t stop the water from flowing out to the bathroom area either.
Overall it was a very pleasant and satisfying stay and would definitely recommend to any visitor looking for an accommodation in Jyväskylä.

Scandic Jyväskylä Station is ideally located, a short walk to both the 'Matkakeskus' travel interchange and the city centre. My room was spacious, bright and clean, with an amazing selection of tea and coffee. The breakfast buffet was very good, with a variety of different hot and cold options available. The on site restaurant, Roast, was also excellent, particularly with the discount available to Scandic Friends members. I highly recommend this hotel and hope to stay again in future.

I had a great stay with my dogs! The service was professional and friendly. The staff really took my dogs into consideration as a towel and a water bowl were waiting for them in our room in addition to a surprise bag we got at check in. Location was perfect, close to everything. I really enjoyed the breakfast. The noise from the bathroom disturbed a little, but overall we are very happy with our stay and will be visiting again! :)

Staff was very friendly and helpful - service is always great at Scandics. Room was comfortable, nice and spacious. Good, variable breakfast with plenty of options for vegan and gluten free diets, too! Location was perfect, and even though there are busy roads right next to the hotel, the room was quiet.
The only minus was the restaurant. Service was good there too, but the food.. Oh... restaurant that says they love grilling should really learn to do it. Usually it's nice that your food arrives quickly, but now it came so fast it made us questions whether the portions were just frozen and microwaved... and the flavour supported that guess. My risotto was ok, but the vegetables were bitter and soggy. My spouse had ravioli, which sounded nice but also had no flavour and her vegetables were worse than mine - soggy, bitter and pretty much inedible. We were in a bit of a hurry and no one asked how we liked the food so we just left, though I should have said something right there.

Nice and clean, a nice place to stay. Nothing amazingly great, but everything for a basic good night's stay.
Minus the swimming pool, which was so cold that not even the father of the family swam.
It was nice to be told when checking in that the hotel is full and there will be a rush for breakfast at a certain time. We were able to schedule ourselves in a more peaceful time this way. Thank you!

On a normal hotel scale, very nice experience. Only big minus; way too many people at the same time having breakfast with no safety distance! At this time when corona virus is a real threat, I would hoped the staff would have kept some order and organize things better. Many people just diont care about corona, so its on the hotel's responsibility to have basic rules. The breakfast room and dining lines were all at one place, it would be better to have them all around the space so people would not line at the same place. Did't feel safe.

One of the nicest hotels I've stayed in so far. However, I had a superior room, which was equipped with a bathtub/shower, WK+accessories and an extra couch. The room on the 3rd floor was very quiet, the breakfast was great. The very nice, young receptionist found me a bus connection to the airport, which I found very nice and I would like to thank you again for that. You can do it at 11:20. or 12 p.m. on weekdays from the bus station to near the airport (stop Lentoasema th E/P) and then walk about 1.2km. It's fun and saves money - in Finland it's now standard that buses no longer go directly to the airport, the taxi lobby has probably prevailed :-(

Hi ! After visiting most of the Scandic hotels in the whole Nordic region, I have to say that this is so far the best. Those who work at the reception are knowledgeable in languages also . They also know how bonus checks works when paying. Or if you have to pay something from the mini bar. Unfortunately, at many other Scandic hotels they do not have that knowledge. The restaurant staff is super Nice and the food is very good. Don't have to wait long to get the food ,compare to a nother scandic hotell in Finland when it took 1 h 😴😴👎🏽 You can also joke and have fun with the staff when you talk to them. We chose this hotel based on our previous experiences. It is not quite perfect, but pretty good anyway and it is nicely situated close to the city centre.
The hotel is easy to arrive by yout car and there are many opportunities for parking. (This time they only had outside parking available.) We had a king superior room, which was spacious, clean and in good condition. The double bed was huge. Our only complaint is about missing shelves. If you want to empty your luggage and place your clothes on a shelf, there are hardly any.
Breakfast buffet was again in operation and the selection was quite normal and mainly OK. Our only comments concern the so-called tropical juice, which tasted like coloured water and the pine-apple pieces, which were not ripe.
The service was OK.
