Everything in this hotel is good. It is nice and clean with great location. But the best part of it is warm and friendly service. One can clearly feel that the staff is not ordered to smile but they are born to be friendly. This was my second visit this summer and Verso will be my hotel also in the future in Jyväskylä.
Except for the room decoration which could benefit from a redesign to feel more modern, everything was top notch. Breakfast with fresh ingredients, quality of service, value, location... Definitely a great place to stay downtown Jyväskylä! The restaurant is really good too, high quality food with more than reasonable prices! Highly recommended :)
A very nice located hotel in the center of Jyväskylä. The people are very nice and the breakfast is great. So much variation and all Is lactose free. ( like everywhere else in Finland). Nice time to have Breakfast between 7 and 11:00.
A very nice experience. I gave 4/5 stars only because the same company owns the Yöpuu hotel which is just amazing, with a few special touches that the Verso doesn't have. Breakfast was great, room was large, service great and the bathtub big and deep. Enjoyed my stay very much.
The hotel is situated in the heart of the city in the middle of walking street. It is unfortunate but there is extremely noisy night club located right across the street. If you come to relax and need a good night sleep this is nearly impossible. Otherwise this hotel takes a long step ahead from regular chain hotels around with their service, food and facilities. Since most of the travellers come to hotel to sleep I strongly recommend other hotels around in more quiet surroudings.
All good, but too expensive. Concept does not differ much from Sokos or Scandic. A bit fresher and nicer, but the price is not fair. Picked it because we needed several rooms and other hotels were full. Good, but expensive.
Best breakfast so far! Lots of local and hand made food. Lunch and dinner was also great. I recommend salmon soup. They sell lots of different hand crafter beers from different parts of Finland. One hotel door opens up to shopping mall so its easy to visit stores and head to garage without going outside.
What a nice place this is! In the middle of the downtown area of Jyväskylä this hotel offers a good night's sleep, friendly staff and a very good breakfast in the morning. Will come here again on business trips.
Finally someone got it right and made it look easy. I'm 50+ and have traveled the world for decades and I have never had as excellent a stay as I did last week in Jyväskylä, Finland. They seem to have "gotten into our minds" and pinpointed the things that matter to us. Some of these things I did not even think mattered until I was experiencing them. One example was at breakfast, when I naturally gravitated to a less bright area and enjoyed piece and quite while eating and waking-up. One of the hardest things for me is walking into a brightly lit cafeteria with loud music, first thing in the morning. The real beauty is that the tables in this quite and dimly lighted area were on a make-shift terrace with only small tables dispersed in a way that let you know, they understood…
Verso is located perfectly in the city centre. Staff is really polite and service oriented. I got impression that they have had special training for superb service. The breakfast is best in class, not like big hotel chain bulk food. Beds and pillows are really comfortable. Only minor negative side is the size of the bathroom.
