Detailed Reviews
Location of the hotel right by the walking only main street of Jyväskylä is perfect.
When you step out of the door you are right in the centre of Jyväskylä.
Hotel as well as the rooms are nice and clean and quite recently renovated.
Service is friendly and helpfull.
For a wheelchair user the hotel is also very convenient, there is an underground parking
garage where you can reserve a space for your car - all public spaces are wheelchair accessible
but there is a bit of an incline and a ramp to get to the breaksfast room ..
We had the handicap room which had also a privat Finnish sauna with wheelchair
height "lauteet" ... this was a first for me, I've never seen a hotel with handicap accessible
sauna in the room.
The room was spacious, bathroom also, there was a small ramp to get up to the bathroom,
maybe about 8 cm but it was not a problem .. sink and the whole surrounding table space was height adjustable and all the normal handrails and a very good shower seat was in place.
Only complaint about the handicap room was there there were no internal pull handles in neither the corridor door or in the bathroom door ... made them a bit hard to close.
Next time in Jyväskylä I'm booking the same room :-)

Perfect location, excellent services and quite comfortable and peaceful rooms for any traveller. In this hotel you get personalized service from a local hotel chain together with very well-kept rooms and excellent faclities, including a free sauna. Highly recommended.

It was again a successful visit in every way (last time in 2019).
The only improvement I would suggest is that you could consider changing the soap etc. to an unscented version.
Now soap was partly not used due to perfume hypersensitivity.

The hotel is situated in the heart of the city in the middle of walking street. It is unfortunate but there is extremely noisy night club located right across the street. If you come to relax and need a good night sleep this is nearly impossible.
Otherwise this hotel takes a long step ahead from regular chain hotels around with their service, food and facilities.
Since most of the travellers come to hotel to sleep I strongly recommend other hotels around in more quiet surroudings.

Been there three times. The location of the hotel in the heart of the city is perfect. The staff is always friendly and helpful. This time we chose a bit better and bigger room than earlier, because there were three of us and the weather outside was really hot. We chose a room with its own extra air conditioner, but it did not work efficiently enough. The best thing in hotel Verso is its breakfast; it is better than average. Otherwise the hotel restaurant quality is varying; we ate there a dinner with an extravaganza tartar, terrible risotto and semi good strawberry zabaglione. Unfortunately the waitress could not give us pro tips for paring the food and wines.

I spent many days at Hotel Verso. My room was perfectly clean and breakfast was fantastic, essentially made just with local produce (but why there was no fresh fruit?). I found disappointing how dark my room was, indeed all its windows overlooked a mall gallery. In a place like Finland famous for its white summer nights, it's unacceptable to be forced to keep the lights on all day. Then, at reception everybody was very kind but completely uninformed about everything. For example I asked some basic questions about local bus timetables and I was provided with wrong info. One of the ladies at the reception told me that there were no rides after 4 pm. This sounded so odd to me that I preferred to doublecheck in a R kiosk (a sort of newsstand that sell also public transportation tickets) and there I got confirmation that there were bus rides practically every hour, every day. Then, what I found unacceptable is that the phone in my room didn't work, and so I couldn't call the reception. A lady of room service told me that the phone was blocked and to unblock it a puk code was needed (on phone display I could read a strange message such as"insert PUK code"or similar). She explained that replacing the device wasn't the solution, the problem would have lasted. In her opinion to get a working phone I needed to change room... Unbelievable. I honestly expected much more based on the reviews I had read on this hotel. There are some aspects I really liked of this place but many others that need to be improved.

Except for the room decoration which could benefit from a redesign to feel more modern, everything was top notch. Breakfast with fresh ingredients, quality of service, value, location... Definitely a great place to stay downtown Jyväskylä! The restaurant is really good too, high quality food with more than reasonable prices! Highly recommended :)

I had a wonderful stay in hotel Verso. A family-owned hotel met us with good service. Extra points for having plenty of electric car chargers in the garage; pro tip call or message the reception to book your parking space with the charger in advance to secure your spot. Hotel was clean and fresh. The breakfast was tasty with multiple choices - something for everyone. Breakfast scored a tiny minus point for not having oat milk.

The staff does a wonderful job. Attentive and friendly service and willingness to help.
The Finnish breakfast deserves a special mention; blueberry juice, small fish, home-baked bread, the best bacon ever, etc
Central location, but you can't hear anything inside from the street.
There was a funny pole in the middle of the room that you had to dodge, but hardly every room had it...
The hallway interior may not be the last shout, but you won't spend time there either

Really pleasent stay! Great breakfast, nice room, had really nice sleep. Superb location.
For some reason the hotel does not advertise this but one really big thing was that when I asked it in advance, the hotel was able to reserve me a parking space in their garage with an EV charger! A huge thing as there was no need to think where to charge during the stay in the middle of the city. Other hotels should learn from this.

My standard double room had an iron and an ironing board, so I would say most rooms are equipped with those.
