Small room, poor bed. But quiet, I heard no noises during my stay. Breakfast better than expected. If you are looking for luxury, this is not for you. The location is very good, only few minutes from the market square of Lahti.
The staff who are very obliging and friendly definitely deserve two stars. Breakfast is both adequate and appetising. Our bedroom was cleaned every day and we were given clean bed linen and towels two or three times during our weeklong stay. No complaints at all about the plumbing and WiFi. The bedroom, cupboards and bathroom were on the small side. After 8 PM the reception closes, which means that in the evenings there is hardly any room to meet up with others or buy refreshments in the hotel. It is located only fifteen minutes walk from the railway and bus stations and even closer to the town centre.
One star for the friendly service, second for location and parking. The rest was bad to really bad. Poor breakfast, tiny rooms, very old furniture, funny smells and ancient bathroom. This hotel needs renovation. Stay elsewhere.
Had a single room for the Lahti Ironman on warm, but far from hot days. As mentioned rooms do get very warm and night sleeping can be sweaty. Not helped by the far from restful mattress. Room did have a fan although very small. The room furniture was very tired although the walls and ceiling appeared to have been decorated recently. The shower was good, but basic and you could shower on the toilet if you so chose. The breakfast was good being typically continental, plenty to eat, but no full English. Staff were very good and helpful
This hotel provides the essentials well - comfortable rooms and a good breakfast selection. It is conveniently located in the centre of town with an underground car park. The staff are very friendly and accommodating.
