TLDR: All good Our family spent here three nights and we were happy. First of all: air con! The hotel is pretty new and everything is newish, so no worries whatsoever. Location is ok, there are few trams and many busses to city center. There are some parking spots next to the hotel, but not too many. The only reason I don’t give this hotel five stars is that there seemed to be some shady bunch doing business in the front door every now and then, so it wasn’t super comfortable going in and out with kids. Otherwise the area is ok, mainly hospitals. There is a supermarket and Burger King in the same building, but we didn’t visit them, The hotel is also a patient hotel for hospitals in the area and attracts also other longer staying customers. To us that was a good deal, as this means that the hotel has a free of charge laundromat to use. They also have more take away options in the restaurant for all quests to use. If you wonder if this makes your stay feel like you’re staying at a hospital, no worries - only thing you may notice is some tired new parents getting take away breakfast. The hotel is quiet. Service and breakfast are basic Scandic, but I have to mention breakfast staff (specially Mon-Fri team and blond waitress!) that made everything smooth and clean without looking stressed out. That is a big thing - many times breakfast gang seems stressed and busy, but this time not, even though it was holiday/baby season. So well done - I hope your bosses read this, too. :) Other thing was cleaners in the reception, they were all smiles and nice service every single time. We’ve been quite a many Scandics and this is one of our faves. Will recommend this hotel to all of our friends looking for a reasonable priced hotel in Helsinki.

We stayed two nights in the best room category 'Superior Best View'. These bright corner rooms are located on the top floors. There are 11 floors. We got our room from the 10th floor, towards the city center. There were plenty of windows. Even the bathroom had two. Furniture and TV placement could have been more practical. TV could only be watched from the bed. On arrival, one coffee cup was dirty. The next day, room cleaning was done well. The breakfast was pleasantly calm and the food selection was good. Our stay had very good value for the senior rate of 119 euros.

Went to stay for one night which turned out to be very disappointing. The room seemed like it was straight from the 70-80's, plain room... nothing else (no coffee/tea possibilities), tv which is slow as f*** (probably 30 years old). breakfast which was packed in take away bags and customer service very bad aswell.. Can't recommend this place. Avoid.

Siisti perushotelli perushuoneella. Kylpyamme plussaa. Aamiainen hyvä, glut/lakt ja muut erikoiset omassa pöydässään. Parkkitilaa tosi nuivasti, 18 e vrk vain kuitenkin hotellin edessä. Clean and nice large basic rooms with bath. Breakfast was good. Worse parking space, but only 18 euros in day if you find space. Not so far from city centre, trams go straight towards to hotel.

This hotel has received super nominations and reviews in the past for its gluten free breakfast. Now, however, not so good. On another occasion there even was some gluten free freshly baked bread, but not this time... disappointing, as this was the reason we chose this hotel! Hmmm... Pettymys, koska valitsimme hotellin juuri tämän vuoksi.

Hi! Thank you for your message! I am so sorry you experienced issues with our Scandic Breakfast for All -breakfast! Gluten free bread should always be available! I checked this matter with our Restaurant Manager who confirmed that there were actually some issues with the availability of the gluten free bread and therefore it couldn't be delivered. I hope you found other suitable options and had a great breakfast experience otherwise. I hope you give us another chance to show that we can offer great hotel experiences and even better breakfast experiences! We are looking forward to having you here soon again! Kind regards Miro/ Reception

The reception staff were a little bit rude and not service-minded. Nice chefs in the breakfast and nice breakfast! Our room had a Lot of dust on the floor and some peanuts under our bed from the previous guests. Nice location and a good looking hotel overall!

I stayed one night with a colleague. Our room was clean, but a bit tiny. Bathroom was a nice size. + Staff was super friendly! Location is great, there's a store and a burger joint in the same building, and it's easy to get a bus or tram down town. - The hotel wasn't necessarily cozy, and it was a bit noisy. I could hear people in the hallway a bit too well.

An average 3-star hotel. Clean-ish, very quiet, staff are friendly. No slippers, no bathrobe though it has got a sauna, sheets could look better. I would recommend it for a max of 2 nights, not for 5 like us. Close to the expo center, its only plus.
