Whatever brings you to Helsinki, Klaus K Hotel welcomes you to the heart of the city where the old Art Nouveau buildings meet the modern Scandinavian life style. The hotel’s design is inspired by Finland’s national epic, Kalevala. Throughout the hotel’s interior there are small details that bring you to the world of Finnish folklore and mythology. Mystique, passion, desire, and envy are themes that have inspired Kalevala stories as well as us. Klaus K Hotel is the first Lifestyle Preferred hotel in Helsinki. Some of our very unique rooms are created in collaboration with the most famous Finnish contemporary artists.

We had our wedding anniversary and wanted something else than our normal ”family circus hotels”. Have to say Klaus K really provided us all we needed. Feeling of own space without hearing all the noises from corridor/other rooms. Also the breakfast was solid quality, at least in Finnish standards.

We came here to celebrate my wife's birthday. I had reserved an Envy King room, but for whatever reason we got a (more expensive) Sky Loft room instead. We had our 4 months old baby with us, and getting to the room with the stroller was a bit tricky as the corridor on the 6th floor went up and down multiple times with no ramps. Luckily the stroller is light so I just carried it up and down the stairs. When we finally got to the room, it was totally worth the effort - best hotel room I've ever been to, and my wife couldn't sit down for a solid hour as she ran around taking photos and looking at all the nice details. She particarly liked the bathroom. The only issue we had with the room were the lights. There were lots of indirect light sources, but no way to turn of the main lights separately etc. Not a big deal, but it would've been nice to be able to dim the lights instead of all on or all off. Also the motor for the skylight was a bit noisy, but that's really nitpicking! Breakfast was pretty nice too, though according to my wife it looked better than it tasted, but I have no complaints myself. Oh and the hotel location is awesome, 10 minutes or less walking distance to basically everything and there's a tram stop right outside the door if you need to go further.

Disappointing stay with family We had two of the interconnecting Sky lofts for a few nights family stay at Klaus K. We won’t go back again, and here’s why: You can’t fault the location of Klaus K. It’s close to everything. Walkable, scootable(!) and easy. The hotel has NOT aged well! It use me to be The Place to be some 15-20 years ago and has not been updated much. The carpets in the hallways are stained and visibly dirty (yuk!). The entrance smells like old booze (ever heard of hotel signature scents?!) and the breakfast room is very dark and dingy. There is lots of crappy merchandise and leaflets in the lobby. Gone is any style it ever had... The loft rooms were large but everything was falling apart. Bathrooms new but tiny. Electric sockets coming off the wall... Mid-summer is a nightmare for let lagged little travellers: the rooms don’t get very dark for sleeping. One curtain was missing and never turned up. We had to use good old garbage bags and duct tape. The AC also didn’t work well enough to cool the rooms that got sun all day (and night) long. Temperature was about 24/25C no matter what setting you used. At night you could cool the air by opening windows, but the street is busy with bars and terrace night life. The service has a lot of room for improvement. On two days our room cleaning never came - or came and didn’t do a proper job. Used team mugs were left around and not replaced, etc. I mean, this is Finland and polite service is trallypartof our culture traditionally, but you’d expect and international hotel to have caught up with the times. The breakfast at Klaus K is famously good, however on two of the mornings we had involuntary vegan breakfast because of some nearby event. Bye bye lovely smoked salmon and cold cuts. If you don’t mind any of the above AND lugging all of your own luggage on endless corridors, the location is definitely great. But there are plenty of options in Helsinki! We made the mistake of booking late so prions for interconnected rooms were limited.

The breakfast buffet was fabulous. And the cost of the room seemed very reasonable, though I am not terribly well-versed in the normal rate for a hotel room in Helsinki. No pool, but this wasn't a concern for us. Great staff. Jatta was unfailingly courteous and helpful when we had a tiny issue with our fridge.

The locasion was good in the centre of Helsinki. Very comfortable bed and the room was nice and not noisy. Breakfast was great. I only stayed for one night but could have stayed there longer if I had the opportunity.

We visited hotel Klaus K for 4 days. Booked the Envy Room, there was cold, heater didn’t work. They upgraded us to the 6th floor, that room was really tiny, one of two radiators worked, quality of air was really bad, we woke up many times during those three nights , there was no fresh air in that room and we couldn’t open windows. Air condition was murmuring above our bed. We felt like getting flu in that room. Walked a lot outside and started to feel better , but same symptoms returned quickly after coming back to room 637. Sore throat, cough, study nose. Corridors were labyrinthine and wall to wall carpeting worn out. Stairs up and down on the way to elevator. The general view dark and not classy. Our room was not cleaned on Saturday 2 pm. Only one chair in that room. No space to hang clothes. We both got back aches in that too soft king size bed. When we went to breakfast there was plenty of people , no free tables and broken glass and glass fragments beside the apple juice automat. Definitely no recommendtions. - 1 star hotel.

Totally misleading.... The first room resembled a Mc Donald wall with a Menu written allover. This is for small children. The heating did not work, neither did they repair it. They upgraded me to a better one in the 6th floor. This one is for Mickey Mouse ! At the best 20m2. No cupboard just a tiny hanging space. On Sunday afternoon, at 16.40 pm my room was still not serviced. Breakfast in the 1st floor is like a battlefield every morning, simply not enough space. There is no coffeeshop either.

There are a number of positives for sure: great breakfast, friendly staff, great location, but rates overall as poor and is let down by some very simple items; no WiFi in room (mentioned to staff twice but I’m not sure anyone actually looked at getting it fixed) , curtains too narrow for the windows allowing far too much light in and uncontrollable heating set to super high ( we had it set on the coldest possible temperature but still had to have window open). Overall a frustrating stay. Could be amazing but will avoid until there’s been a refit.

The hotel experience started all the way from hotel reception when we were greeted with such enthusiasm that it felt like we were really expected at Klaus K! We had reserved a Sky Balcony room, since we were hoping for a room that would be quiet and have great views to urban Helsinki. We weren’t disappointed. The room was amazing with a comfortable king size bed, a large balcony and even a hot tub for two in the bathroom. The room was separated from the general corridor with another door making the room really quiet. Every detail in the room seemed really carefully planned to make it as cozy as possible. I even enjoyed a cup of coffee on the balcony, despite the crisp February weather in Finland. Breakfast was pretty nice and we were able to choose a less crowded time slot for that. We will definitely revisit this hotel in the future as well and we can recommend spending a relaxing staycation at Klaus K!

Stayed for three nights and had a single room facing the street. Location is excellent to explore the city, you can walk almost everywhere. A few blocks away from the main shopping area, central station, etc. The tram stops right in front of the hotel as well. The room was compact but well equipped. Wifi worked well and breakfast was ok. Common areas could use an update, especially the hallways.
