Whatever brings you to Helsinki, Klaus K Hotel welcomes you to the heart of the city where the old Art Nouveau buildings meet the modern Scandinavian life style. The hotel’s design is inspired by Finland’s national epic, Kalevala. Throughout the hotel’s interior there are small details that bring you to the world of Finnish folklore and mythology. Mystique, passion, desire, and envy are themes that have inspired Kalevala stories as well as us. Klaus K Hotel is the first Lifestyle Preferred hotel in Helsinki. Some of our very unique rooms are created in collaboration with the most famous Finnish contemporary artists.

Visiting here after a long break and first time with kids. Have to say that why haven’t i came back earlier. Location is very good, rooms are nice and decorated with heart. There is still hints of finnish design everywhere. And breakfast tastes always fresh and finnish like grandma had it always cooked in Finland. Kids also gave two thumbs up for this.

Klaus K is excellent boutique hotel. There is a large variety of rooms, from tiny singles perfect for short business trip or more luxurious suites. This time we had sky balcony suite, spacious and beautiful.

The breakfast had everything one could need and more. The staff was very promptly removing used plates from the table and refilling the breakfast dishes.

This time we booked a Desire room from 'Two nights for the price of one' sale. The price was 72,50 euros per night. The rate was flexible and included breakfast.

As a Nordic Choice Platinum member, my goal was to get an upgrade to the next room category that is an Envy room and asked for a bay window to Bulevardi street.

To our surprise, we got a bay window but the room was three categories upward. The room type was a Sky Loft room that has a normal price of 245 euros per night.

I think our room is the only Sky room with a bay window. Above on the 7th floor is a Sky Suite that has a bay balcony.

The views from the bay window were panoramic. We could see the whole Bulevardi street and the Clarion Hotel behind it. On the other side is the Swedish Theater, Esplanadi Park, and Helsinki Cathedral behind the park.

The room decor is very modern and the same in every Sky room. Our room had a dining table for two. It was very practical for the takeaway breakfast.

At the moment, there is a restaurant lockdown in most of Finland and only takeaway meals are possible. The hotel offers also room service dinners from two restaurants: Toscanini and Pastis. Menus could be found in the room.

The takeaway breakfast was handled very well. Pre-filled paper bags were fetched from the breakfast room. Inside the bags, you found a varied selection of food.

We had a "staycation" at this hotel as a wedding gift from our loved ones. The original gift card was for Sky Balcony room but due to unavailibility we upgraded it to a Sky Loft room for a small fee.
The room itself was spacy with a lovely view over the rooftops of Helsinki but for a room costing 300 euros a night would have expected much more than what was offered.
Room had an empty minibar (which was only a bit colder than the temperature in the room), bathrobes were missing (we had to fetch them by ourselves from the reception once it turned out to be hopeless to reach any staff by phone) and all toiletry amenities were provided in unappealing bulk sized bottles. In short there were absolutely no little perks usually associated with such high end rooms (no complimentary water, chocolate on the pillow, welcome drink etc.).

Above would alone cause only mild irritation but what really put me off was the note on the table notifying that the rooms are serviced only every 3 days and if one wants the room serviced more often than that, one needs to pay extra for it. Daily emptying of the bins, providing fresh towels and clean glassware should to my understanging be a standard for a 4 stars hotel but apparently this is not the case in these premises. Furthermore I was not impressed by the strictly scheduled breakfast slot- we received a coupong saying that our slot was from 8.30-9.00 which to me is bit too timetabled for a weekend getaway aimed for relaxation. The breakfast itself was fine but it is easy to imagine that it must have been a havoc later due to the limited space and staff.

In conclusion, have no reason to recommend this hotel for a staycation and find it hard to believe that any traveller would happily stay in a non-serviced room for multiple days and pay hefty price for it.

This modern hotel is just 10-15 mins walk from Helsinki Central Station. Close to several shopping malls, restaurants and other main sight seeing area. All staff are very helpful that makes you feel very welcoming. Check-in/out is fast. Breakfast variety is good and everything is fresh and well made. Room size is spacious and the design is typical Scandic. This hotel has been featured in BBC program “TRAVEL MAN”. An Italian restaurant and a Finnish restaurant just at the same hotel building, both are worth trying. Direct booking from this hotel is recommended, we had rebooked this hotel after our first 2 nights, end up we found the cost saving was quite significant than through an on-line hotel booking platform.

In the heart of Helsinki. Upon my arrival friendly wellcoming and professional touch for selling an upgrade which l gladly agreed. Average breakfast, clean tidy room with a bath tab, small fridge ( empty ) and a safetybox. Had a Double room with the view to the Bulevard-street on the 4th floor, well insulated windows so hardly any noise from the vividly trafficated street ( cars, bus, tram). Hotel has good policies for recycling, saving sources and supporting sustainebility. Pick up from reception the daily hygiene products you need, all more or less sustainable and fragrance free if you choose so. You alsohave to pick up bath slippers and a bath robe from the reception. Hardly any space for clothes and no space for a suitcase...
A warm recommendation providing you don’t have any demands of esthetical beauty, this room leaves space for hopes in regard of interior design. It was the ugliest room l’ve ever had with 8 (!!) different types of colors and patterns, none of them matching each others -> Had to ask for a room change.

We stayed for a night in sky balcony room and was impressed by the modern and unique interior and decor of the room.
Great views from the balcony.
Location was very close to city centre and only less than 5 mins walk to most attractions and shopping etc.
Friendly and professional service by all the staffs.
Only thing to add is to have a bellhop guy who can assist in luggages.

We booked a Sky Suite for a summer sale price of 216 euros. We hoped for the Balcony Suite but it is not in use at the moment because the public Sky Terrace has been extended to suite's balcony.

However, we got the Loft Suite #635 where we have never been before. In the Kalevala Suite #638 with the egg-shaped bed, we have stayed before. If you want to sleep in a very unusual bed, this is the suite for you.

The loft suite and the loft rooms have high ceilings with sky windows. The suite has a spacious grotto-style bathroom with a separate shower and bathtub. The bathtub could have been bigger for that space. I don't have wide shoulders but the tub was a very tight fit for me. Also, the television in the living room was quite small (32") for that space.

The biggest problem was our key cards. They didn't open the door to the hallway on the 6th floor. When Sky Terrace was open, it was easy to get to the room from the other entrance located on the street. Everybody from the street had access to our room door. When Sky Terrace was closed, it was more complicated. Had to visit the reception twice to get our key cards programmed again.

Despite the allocated breakfast slots, it was crowded as it has been every time we have stayed at the hotel.

We stayed one night in Envy room. Room had good views to Bulevardi which was nice. Room was tidy and spacious. Room will soon need some TLC, because ”the life gone by” has left some memories and reason for improvement. Hotel staff was very polite and helpful. From the sky bar you get nice views to the city.

Breakfast unfortunately was a bit of a dissapointement: selection was quite basic, and e.g. special coffees had an extra fee (cappucino 4.5€). Because of the room TLC needs and breakfast limitations I can give only 3 stars for a upper class hotel.

I stayed in this hotel for four nights while facilitating a large group event and the experience was very good.
Foremost, the staff is exceptional: kind, attentive, personable - we were very well taken care off. Lunch and snacks were delicious and varied every day.
The rooms are a good size, though the cupboards are on the very small side and not very practical.
Another strong point is the central location of the Klaus K. Bang in the middle of what must be one of Helsinki’s nicest areas, many sights, restaurants and shops are within walking distance.

Visit HSL on-line and download the app. Buying from the platform is 5 euros which accepts all forms of payment. From Central Station go to the Kluuvi, about a four minute walk to one of the best hotels in Helsinki. have a good trip.

Mobile ticket off the app is 4.2 euros. Buying from the platform is 5 euros which accepts all forms of payment. From Kluuvi I walked to Klaus K as it was short or you can go west from Kluuvi and take tram 1 south for 2 stops for no additional charge as your ticket should still be valid.
