I've been there last week w some norwegian friends. We met after few months here and we ordered something to drink together at the bar. After 2 bottles of the same red wine(54euros per bottle)we ordered the 3rd bottle. But something was wrong:the wine was damage/test like wrong. The man at the reception said he was not allowed to change it and said it was our problem. Very unprofessional(23rd june 2022). Okay, for us the most important thing was enjoy ourselfes so we moved on. Funny that after a while this man called police instead of ask us to leave the bar and go to our hotel room.We were not drunks or rudes so it has been quite embarassing. I work into hotels since 26 years and I would never have to work with such as unprofessional persons. The other staff was great btw.Just this man was pretty rude and unprofessional…
Great Location and in the city centre with its transport hub.You can walk to lots of tourist places within 15 minutes leisurely. The Hotel itself was bright and airy. The room was a fair size with comfortable bedding and facilities. However, the stinch of sewer smell was a big let down. I have never stayed in a hotel regardless what category with such a bad persisting smell. There is a serious plumbing problem and potentially, a health hazard with back flow of sewer gases. Breakfast was the usual affair with a limited choice of hot food. Lighting in the room was rather puzzling too. When you powered off by the master switch, the left and right spot ceiling lights work by the actual side reading lights don't work.I would have award it full marks had it been the sewer issue.
I rarely if ever give a hotel 5 stars but this hotel is great. Excellent city centre location with 2 minutes walk to central station. Staff are great and rooms well appointed and comfortable. The lobby bar is very modern with a good atmosphere. Breakfast is excellent from the food to the layout and the whole salmon. More than your average Holiday Inn
We arrived late in the evening from Berlin and had next day May Day lunch with our friends in Helsinki city center. The hotel is conveniently located at Helsinki Central Station. So there is easy transportation by train from the airport. Our plane landed at 21:55 and already at 22:50, we entered our hotel room. Trains via Myyrmäki arrive at this side of the station where the hotel is located. We had booked a standard room with my IHG points. Because of my IHG Platinum Elite status, we were upgraded to a top-floor standard room. Previously these rooms were executive rooms with bathrobes and better toiletries. Not anymore. So there has been some downgrade concerning the room equipment. The rooms are not very spacious but practical. The views from the top-floor rooms are great. Breakfast is never included in the point reservations at IHG hotels unless there is a lounge where you have access. At this hotel, breakfast costs 21 euros per person. It is slightly better than the usual Scandic or Sokos Hotel breakfast in Finland. So maybe it is worth the price.…
Tanu was extremely helpful and very pleasant. Breakfast was nice and the ambience great! Everything is wonderfully here would like to visit soon and recommend all my friends reviewed very warm welcome thankyou
Very centrally location, you can take the tram everywhere and right next to the metro from the airport. Staff went over and above to answer our tourist type questions. Still do maid service each day nice treat. Hot water a little inconsistent, but other than that great experience. Would stay again for the location alone.
The hotel has the best location in Helsinki if you have business going to the train station, airport or Sweden boats (easy access to trams). The staff was very helpful and positive. Room is clean and nice size bathroom. Hotel also provided a chance to keep extra luggage for storage. My only complaint was the small bed. Not big enough for couples. I will come back.
Great location nearby the Helsinki train station. Good location near Helsinki train station. The reception lady staff was delightful and checked us in. Being a member, we received free premium wifi access and later checkout until 3pm, and we paid Euro 20 for another two hours for a room that stayed till 5 pm. Cleanroom. Minibar, tea and coffee maker and iron board available. Breakfast was good, and we enjoyed it. Comfortable bed. No free drinking water was provided in the room. However as per the reception staff tap water is drinkable so we boiled and drank. Only one issue we had with their reservation team was not able to modify the date for a non-refundable booking. Even though other hotels in Germany and Luxembourg allowed us to modify the dates for similar type booking.
The Holiday Inn is located very convenient right next to the train station. We took the train from the airport and it was right next door to the station. Upon departure so easy to leave our luggage at the hotel, explore the city and head back to the airport via train to catch our flight. The reception staff are very nice and were great in accommodating our party of 3 with a extra fold-out bed in the room. Definitely recommend to book the rate with breakfast, the breakfast spread is a great selection of local Finnish items and is much better than your average US Holiday Inn selection. No complaints about cleanliness of the room, everything was clean and tidied up again every day we went out.
It’s located in the middle of the town, that’s why it’s easy to see the sights and take the bus or train everywhere. The room was comfortable and everything we needed was there. It’s seems to me that the hotel was popular and that’s why the stuff had hurry to empty the trash in the bathroom and the floor was sticky a little. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was great and various. First we wanted to go by car but parking was quite expensive. But obviously it’s the city center.
