The hotel is in a very good location. Parking was easy to find and very efficient to get in and out of the hotel with the car. When commuting without the car, there are bus/tram stops within 2-3 minutes distance. The central railway station is one stop away.
Hotel staffers were friendly, reasonable, and had a good attitude. Breakfast starts much earlier in Scandic Park compared to other Scandic hotels I have visited. The room we stayed in is very nice and looks like it was recently (within a couple of years) renovated. You could tell that the housekeepers were happy with their jobs as they made the effort to keep your room nice and fresh. Overall, I am glad we chose Scandic Park for our stay, and we look forward to staying at the hotel again.

We stayed at Scandic Park Helsinki for New Year's Day, and it was a wonderful experience! This hotel is a real gem for families with children, with a warm and kid-friendly atmosphere that we enjoyed a lot.
The staff is kind and attentive, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Special mention for playgrounds: there is one on the reception and another in the dining room, which is perfect for keeping children busy during meals or between outings. In addition, the hotel offers extra beds for children directly in the rooms, an attention we greatly appreciated.
The location is also a big highlight: the hotel is conveniently located right in front of a beautiful park. The latter is perfect for family walks and full of playgrounds for children. All this only 5 minutes walk! Finally, public transport is literally in front of the hotel, with very convenient tram and bus lines to explore the city.
Only two small drawbacks to report: the mattresses were a little too soft for our taste, and the pool was not heated, which made it a little cold for a month of December. But this did not ruin our stay, which remains unforgettable.
A big thank you to the entire hotel team for their welcome! We will return without hesitation.

The Scandic hotel chain is a safe and reliable value for those who want to spend a stay in a comfortable, clean and well-equipped place. This hotel is therefore no exception to the rule. The service is impeccable and very professional. The cleanliness of the premises is impeccable. The comfort of the rooms is optimal. The bedding is very pleasant. The big plus of the hotel is its swimming pool and the sauna on the top floor which offers a beautiful view of Helsinki. The breakfast is very generous with an exceptional variety of dishes. Enough to start a day's visit on the right foot. Finally, the hotel is well located on the main avenue of Helsinki, 3 minutes walk from the trams, 5 minutes from a park and 15 minutes walk from the city center. Also close to a very practical supermarket. The price of the room is a little high but you pay for the quality and service which are definitely there.

This was our second time in Scandic Park. The first visit left a pleasant memory of the hotel (in superior room, if I remember correctly) so it was easy to stay there for a second time. This time things didn't go so well and smoothly, though (in standard rooms).
I had booked two rooms: one for two adults and a child and one for an adolescent - adjoining rooms that is. For some reason there were only two beds made in the primary room (instead of three) and the door to the adjoining room was locked. Also, the doors were blocked by small sofas on both sides.
When we asked about it at the front desk, we were told that we should have asked the doors to be opened and that missing one bed in the primary room must've been a mistake by the housekeeping. Why would anyone book an extra room for a teenager unless the rooms are adjoined by an opening door?
However, the rooms were nice and clean and in a quiet part of hotel as requested. The small pool in the hotel is a nice touch for families with kids but keep in mind that the water is pretty cold. There are also some rules to follow that people seem to neglect...
The breakfast was a bit too extravagant compared to what it usually is like in Scandic hotels - but good, of course. If you have a specific diet like with celiac disease or you're a vegan, it can be pretty hard to find enough options, though. The restaurant's menu is quite constricted but with tasteful options. In contrary the dishes are pretty large ones, plates full of food. Maybe even a bit too much for some, especially for kids.
The hotel is located a bit too far from the city centre but still within a walking distance. If you are visiting Helsinki for more than one or two days, I do recommend to buy day tickets for the public transportation, though.
In all we were mostly happy with our stay in Scandic Park and our visit to Helsinki but most likely we will try another hotel next time. Scandic Park is a nice hotel but I like a bit more consistent service and standards.

We often stay in Scandic hotels when travelling in Nordic countries and always find them to be a consistently good value and nice experience. The Scandic Park is no exception and is one of the nicer Scandic hotels we’ve stayed in. It’s very kid-friendly with a play area in the lobby and it’s great to have an indoor pool! Great location in a quiet neighbourhood by a park but still close to central train station, only a few stops away on the tram or bus, both of which are located right out front of the hotel.
The rooms are very nice and spacious by European standards. We had a family room with 3 beds and there was still plenty of space. The room had a beautiful view of the park and the city. We could even see the Cathedral and Linnanmäki amusement park.
The breakfast was delicious with a very nice variety. Overall a good value and we would not hesitate to stay here again.

Hotel is located within a walking distance from the city centre (railway station and bus terminal about 1,8km). Also great option, if you want to visit Linnanmäki amusement park.
Overall the hotel is in good condition and all open areas are clean and tidy. In the room (we had superior plus on the 9th floor) there are some marks of usage, which didn't bother us, but make the room feel a little outdated for those seeking the absolute finest. Room had a good sized comfortable bed, a separate seating area with minibar and water kettle and a spacious bathroom area with a shower and separate bathtub. We had good views towards northwest over the roofs. Only problem with the room was that we booked it for only one night, could easily have stayed longer.
Hotel was full at the time, so breakfast was served in the conference area located in the same floor. Breakfast itself was good and had plenty of options (could have had a larger selection of fruits and fresh berries etc.) but the location thus good views could have been better. The large conference room was a little shabby for a restaurant. Also the staff was undersized and the customers had to clean the tables after the previous guests in order to get seated.
There is also saunas and a pool available with limited opening hours.
There is a restaurant and a bar in the hotel and snacks and beveragers are available 24/7 via reception.

Had to go with my wife and two kids (18 and 12) for a funeral in the capital. We use to go to AirBnB:s but this time the four bed superior room at Scandic Park was very competetive for membership holders so we went for that. The four bed superior room was very nicely planned with the beds in separate rooms with a small hallway to the corridor. The bathroom sported both a tub and a separate shower. The fresh room was decorated with an older style hotel decor. In the lobby, we were met very well although we arrived late and the breakfast the following morning was good and in ordinary Scandic style there was a lot to choose from. Car parking is not cheap though. One night from 10 pm to 10 am would have costed us 27 euros, so we used the neighboring parking house (Töölö parking) . That is not cheap either, but saved us 7 euros at least. The lift from the parking house took us a few meters from the hotel entrance. The cleaning of the room was not excellent but not terrible either. All in all, Scandic Park is a very competitive alternative for families and people that enjoy being close to the city action, but not in the absolute downtown of Helsinki.

One of the nicest Scandic properties! Our room actually had a bathtub, which made this much more pleasant than the other Scandic properties we stayed in that had the shower floor at the same level as the rest of the bathroom floor, so water gets everywhere! Do know that the bathtub was extremely tall, so if you have mobility issues, you will probably not be able to get into the bathtub to take a shower. The beds were very comfortable and the shower was hot with good water pressure. The restaurant was really good for dinner! The bar was good and cozy. Breakfast was not so good, but typical Scandinavian fare with not many choices for Americans. My mom left her coat behind in the closet, and when we went back the next day, they actually had it waiting on us. Very friendly and helpful staff. I’m not too sure about the location because we were with a group tour.

Regular hotel breakfast. It was a big disappointment that all the tables were loaded with dirty dishes and no waiters were seen. You had to clean a table for yourself to get one and it was not very appealing to watch the dirty dishes around you when trying to enjoy your breakfast. Also some of the bowls were empty in the breakfast buffet and were not refilled. Friendly staff when you were able to find some.
