The hotel is in a fantastic, central location for exploring Helsinki. It is very well serviced by public transport, and not a long walk to most attractions. It can be a little awkward when arriving and departing, if you have a suitcase on wheels, as the cobblestone street can be challenging. The hotel reception staff were friendly, and informative at check in. Reception was closed when I checked out, but there is a deposit box for the room cards. There is tea and coffee available in the lobby. The room itself was basic, but clean and bright. The bed was comfortable, and towels were provided. The bathroom was very small, but that's understandable, and not uncommon in budget hotels. Unfortunately, I stayed during what was one of the hottest summers in quite a while, and there

Dear Misrabelle, thank you for your detailed review. We are really pleased to read that you mostly enjoyed your stay in out hotel. We think that our location couldn't be better and we are happy to find that you agreed with us. Our aim is to provide our guests with reasonably priced but cozy and comfortable no-frills accommodation on the best possible spot in Helsinki, and we are happy to read that we were able to fulfill your expectations. However, we are terribly sorry to read about the inconveniences related to the warmth and street noises. This summer was the warmest measured in Helsinki, and we can admit that we weren't fully prepared to the heatwave. We are doing our best to figure out a solution to this issue before the long winter is over again. Same goes with the street noises: we are aware that our central location on a lively street has its cons, too, and we hope to find a solution to this as well. We sincerely wish that these issues didn't cause you too much inconvenience. Thank you very much for your visit and we warmly hope to see you again some day! Have a nice week, Lauri / Hotel Finn

The hotel is clean and well set up. The staff was helpful. Great location. Only one real problem, the street the hotel is on has two late night bars and it can be very noisy. The bar patrons were laughing, yelling, and fighting until 5 AM on a Sunday night.

Dear dsharrock63, thank you for your review. We are really pleased to read that you found us nice, clean and well located. We're also really happy to read that our staff was helpful. We are, however, terribly sorry for the inconvenience caused by the street noise. We can agree that our very central location on a lively street has it cons, too. We have recently changed all of our windows into new ones with better sound insulation, this has helped a lot, but we'll continue to try to find a good solution to this issue. Thank you for addressing this, any feedback is really important to us. We sincerely hope that this didn't cause you too much inconvenience. Thank you very much for staying with us and warmly welcome again! Best regards, Lauri / Hotel Finn

Spent a night here whilst on business, nice and clean, boutique feel but on a budget. Great pub below (some noise can travel up through the night though), very central location. Free coffee in the foyer which was super handy.

Dear chrisunderscorecarr, Thank you for your review. We are happy to read that you find us a nice and clean hotel with good price. Thank you for your feedback regarding the coffee, too, we do also think that it is a nice one! We can agree that our very central location on a lively street might have its cons too, but we've recently changed all of our rooms' windows into new double ones, and the sound insulation should be very good! Thank you very much for staying with us and warmly welcome again!

I was after a clean, convenient and safe hotel for my few nights in Helsinki. The staff were helpful and knowledgable, the facilities minimal but adequate. Tiny reception area and small lift to upper floors. Room was comfortable and bed cosy. I love the feel of hotel linen! Bathroom was perfecty fine with shower, sink and toilet. Kettle in the room but take your own everything else or you need to return to reception to get cup, tea/coffee etc. The hotel is on a narrow, cobbled street with a few good pubs and cafes but its not noisy at all. An easy walk from the train station and close to tram line and an abundance of shoping malls. Recomended

Dear Christine P, thank you very much for your review. We are really pleased to read that you found our location great, staff helpful and knowledgeable, room comfortable, and the facilities adequate. Thank you for your feedback regarding the kettle, coffee, and tea. We've recently moved our reception from the sixth to the ground floor, so we can agree that it might be a bit too long journey for a cup of coffee or tea :) We'll consider adding some tea and coffee to our rooms, too. We've recently changed all of our rooms' windows into new, double ones with good sound insulation, and we are really happy to read that you found them working well. Thank you very much for staying with us and warmly welcome again! Have a nice week! Best regards, Lauri / Hotel Finn

We stayed one Saturday night here. Check in was easy and the hotel was spotless. Coffee was free in the reception area and there was a small elevator. There was one downside... we were in Helsinki the last week of July when it was sweltering and there is no AC. That was no problem, as opening the windows allowed for a nice breeze HOWEVER there are about 3 nightclubs on the corner below the hotel so there was loud music and long lines outside the clubs until about 4am. So be prepared with earplugs if this is the case ;) otherwise it’s a lovely little hotel

Dear Annie G, Thank you very much for your review. We are really glad to read that you found our hotel spotless and lovely and the check in easy. We are however sorry about the inconvenience caused by the temperatures. This July was the warmest ever in Finland, so we can admit, that we weren't completely prepared for the heatwave we experienced. We totally understand the inconvenience caused and we sincerely hope, that this didn't cause you too much harm. We've already started to figure out what could we do to improve the situation before the next summer comes. Thank you very much for staying with us and we sincerely hope to see you again! Have a nice rest of the summer! Lauri / Hotel Finn

I booked into Hotelli Finn with a day's notice after our other hotel was booked out. A real pleasant surprise and so affordable. The location is fabulous being so close to the bus and train station - about a 3 or 4 minute walk - and the Forum Shopping Centre is just next door. The rooms are well designed and the bed was very comfortable. They don't serve breakfast but they recommend a couple of cafes in the laneway or you can go to the numerous eateries at the Forum SC. Our room didn't have air-con but the windows could be opened of a night time and it wasn't noisy. So 5 stars to Hotelli Finn for making this hotel so affordable - we loved it.

The location of the hotel is perfect. Rooms are small but clean, and they provide everything you need. Very quiet due to modern windows and double doors. I'd like to mention the very helpful staff: our lost luggage was delivered to the hotel while we were out. Reception gave us a call when it arrived and brought it to our room – great service!

This was the cheapest hotel I found in Helsinki center, you can find hostels with share bathroom for a cheaper price, but for my case I wanted a bedroom with indoor bathroom. It has a great location, all the main sites are walking distance, close to the train station and tram stop, lots of restaurants around and they have an agreement for breakfast with moderate prices with the restaurant in front of the street. All staff spoke english. Only cons, no AC on the bedroom so I had to open the window and you could hear everything and bathroom too small. If your preferences are location and price I would recommend you this hotel by far, if your preference is confort then keep in mind to pay way more.

Dear Natiqv, Thank you for your review. We are really happy to read that you enjoyed our location and price-quality ratio. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused by the lack of air conditioning. We do certainly understand the issue. Luckily - and unluckily - this kind of temperatures are pretty rare here in Helsinki, but we'll naturally try to find a way to improve this. We are sorry if you felt that your bathroom was too small, too. We do agree that the bathrooms in the smaller room categories aren't the hugest ones either. We've done our best to make them as functional as possible however, and we sincerely wish that this didn't cause you too much inconvenience. Thank you very much for staying with us and warmly welcome again!
