The location in the city center is absolutely optimal.
The tiny reception on the ground floor follows particular opening and closing times.
The furnishings in the room are old and ugly, the bathroom is small but clean.
Good sleep quality; you can't hear any noise coming from outside.

The room I was given had a tv that couldn’t pick up any channels, possibly a damaged cable or blocked signal on that side of the building, due to the construction works outside. I requested a different room, which I was given and was also offered drinks and snacks as an apology. The new room was much better, bigger, with tv channels!
The lady working at the hotel was nice, friendly and helpful. I had a pleasant stay overall.
Room was warm and very clean, facing main road.
It was saturday night when I checked in , so , of course below the hotel it is a main road where are a lot of night club, but windows are keeping noise away.
I highly recommend this hotel as Helsinki is expensive and this is not much high price and the location is amazing.
Thank you
The rooms themselves are a bit interesting, they felt like hostel living quarters. But considering how expensive Finland is, the price is right in this situation. Not exactly sure this is where I would want to stay if it were for multiple days, but it was doable for a night.
As for the surrounding area, we briefly looked up places to eat, but because we arrived late, we were unable to venture out. It seemed as though there are lots of good places to eat and that was the original plan, but plans change unfortunately.
Lastly, the elevator is quite small. If you have 3 people and luggage, be prepared to squeeze, otherwise you will need to take multiple trips.
It's all within walking distance, I couldn't find any faults with this hotel.
In some reviews I read that someone complained about street noise, I slept there for 3 nights, the first of which was Saturday and although there were 3 pubs on the street, I didn't hear the slightest noise.
Others complained about the small bathroom and that the shower was ridiculous, in fact the bathroom was small, but not much smaller than other hotels (it certainly cannot be compared to the bathrooms of 5 star hotels), that the shower curtain was useless and that the bathroom flooded with every shower, well.... that didn't happen to me.
Friendly staff and impeccable cleaning.
If I return to Helsinki this will be my hotel!
