Small "young" and renovated hotel, on the top floors (accessible by lift) of an old stone building.
The location in the city center is absolutely optimal.
The tiny reception on the ground floor follows particular opening and closing times.
The furnishings in the room are old and ugly, the bathroom is small but clean.
Good sleep quality; you can't hear any noise coming from outside.

Very good hotel in an excellent location, lots of shops, restaurants , attractions and trams within a very short distance. We stayed in a triple room which was a good size. Our room was on the 5th floor on the side of the hotel. The hotel is located in a street full of noisy bars and restaurants, which was quite concerning. With the window open, the noise would have prevented a good nights sleep. However, the windows have excellent sound proofing and once closed, they blocked all noise. However, the room had no air conditioning, so this might be a problem if the temperature is very warm, but was fine for us.

Thank you for your feedback Joan. We are glad to hear you enjoyed our central location. As stated on our reservation page, we do not have air-conditioning (except in our Deluxe Apartment). But during the summer months, we do have fans for the rooms. All the best and welcome again :)

Great place! It was clean, safe and spacious. They have free luggage storage, large rooms and great communication. The location especially was excellent. We were able to check in half an hour early and they had clear instructions for leaving luggage outside of hours.

The hotel is in a great location, just a short walk from the railway station and close to restaurants and bars.

The room I was given had a tv that couldn’t pick up any channels, possibly a damaged cable or blocked signal on that side of the building, due to the construction works outside. I requested a different room, which I was given and was also offered drinks and snacks as an apology. The new room was much better, bigger, with tv channels!

The lady working at the hotel was nice, friendly and helpful. I had a pleasant stay overall.

I stayed for two nights, I checked in late in the evening after reception was closed, however everything was perfectly arranged for late arrivals, key card left in a letter box with passcode and also pass code given to enter main door.
Room was warm and very clean, facing main road.
It was saturday night when I checked in , so , of course below the hotel it is a main road where are a lot of night club, but windows are keeping noise away.
I highly recommend this hotel as Helsinki is expensive and this is not much high price and the location is amazing.
Thank you

I got the superior double and definitely was better than the standard room, a lot more space and beautiful bay windows to sit and watch outside. There was no tea and coffee sachets in the room which would've been a nice touch rather than having to go down 6 floors to get coffee (as there is a kettle in in the room...). They also have lockers for storage too which was really helpful. Staff were nice and the location was really good. A downside was there was a lot of noise from other rooms through the day and night so bring earplugs!

This was mainly used as a stop-over for our next flight out the next day. We ended up arriving later than expected due to weather issues form Rovaniemi to Helsinki. We arrived a little before midnight and the reception desk was already closed for the evening. There was a sign to call for assistance and they were able to provide us with a code to enter the building and retrieve our keycards. Seemed very self explanatory, but in the early morning when you're already tired from flying, this can see very frustrating. We happened to be on the 5th floor and you can still hear the thumping of the night clubs below. Luckily we arrived late, as the clubs would eventually close a couple of hours later.

The rooms themselves are a bit interesting, they felt like hostel living quarters. But considering how expensive Finland is, the price is right in this situation. Not exactly sure this is where I would want to stay if it were for multiple days, but it was doable for a night.

As for the surrounding area, we briefly looked up places to eat, but because we arrived late, we were unable to venture out. It seemed as though there are lots of good places to eat and that was the original plan, but plans change unfortunately.

Lastly, the elevator is quite small. If you have 3 people and luggage, be prepared to squeeze, otherwise you will need to take multiple trips.

Fabulous location, in a pedestrian area, it's almost impossible to get better than this!
It's all within walking distance, I couldn't find any faults with this hotel.
In some reviews I read that someone complained about street noise, I slept there for 3 nights, the first of which was Saturday and although there were 3 pubs on the street, I didn't hear the slightest noise.
Others complained about the small bathroom and that the shower was ridiculous, in fact the bathroom was small, but not much smaller than other hotels (it certainly cannot be compared to the bathrooms of 5 star hotels), that the shower curtain was useless and that the bathroom flooded with every shower, well.... that didn't happen to me.
Friendly staff and impeccable cleaning.
If I return to Helsinki this will be my hotel!

If you need a nice low budget hotel with a great location then this is your choice. Our room was standard twin. Room was nice, clean, simple and spacious. Bathroom was renovated and had underfloor heating. Beds were good to sleep in. Staff was friendly. The view was to the inner courtyard and it was quiet at least when we stayed in. There isn't breakfast but you can get one at a discount from the nearby cafes. Only problem was that it was a little cold in the room and i needed two blankets when sleeping (but i am always cold so..). Outside temperature was only a little under zero so i wondered how cold would it be when it's much colder outside. But overall we stayed there for one night and we were very satisfied. Would definitely come again. We didn't take photos but the hotel photos in the sites are pretty accurate.

Great location not too far from central station. Elevator only fits one person plus bag at a time but that was fine. Rooms were a great size and very comfy. Really quirky wallpaper added a bit of character. Lots of good eateries nearby but didn't get any noise from them. No luggage storage made for a fight at the train station but otherwise a really great stay

You can either take the trams or walk in 25-30 minutes :-) it's a nice walk as you will also pass the tourist centre where you can get the city pass or transport card
Answer from Ville H
Helsinki, Finland
Hi! From the airport there are four different transportation options: P-train, 30min (+10 min walking), ticket 5,50€ Finnair Shuttle bus, 30min (+10min walking), ticket 6,30€ Public transport bus 615, 45-60min (+10min walking), ticket 5,50€ Taxi 25-30min, 40-55€ Both bus tickets could be bought from the driver. Both buses and the train terminates to the Helsinki Central railway station (Rautatieasema/Elielinaukio) which is less than ten minute walk away from the hotel (see the map). Usually there are always taxis waiting in front of the terminal. You can tell the driver address Kalevankatu 3B, Hotelli Finn.
