Spent a night here while on business & it is definitely not suited to business travellers. Rooms are tiny & no access to internet or dial-up. Also seemed to be in the middle of nowhere & a car is needed if staying here to get around. Food choice limited but tasty & staff relatively friendly.

It is located a 15-minute drive from Vantaa Airport. Standard Room.
There is free hotel parking. Hotel requirements to park only at designated area and to park only with parking ticket does not meet the reality.
There is free sauna in the hotel in the evening.

We are stayed in this hotel last summer for one night. Location in Malmi area in 10 min on the train from center of Helsinki. Train station located in 3-5 min of walk from the hotel but if you don't know area good, in dark time easy to stray as it's happened with my friend.
Hotel is very calm .Service in there are pleasant and friendly, they are helped to us in all the questions what we have asked. The guy on reception confused and gave to us key from the room what was unmade but we got new key from maid during minute after error detection and reception's guy called to us and apologized for mistake.
We got clean, сomfortable and spacious twin room, the same i can say about bathroom. You can find a standard set of objects what typical for 3 stars hotel like shower gel/shampoo, hairdryer, TV, towels and something like this. We just didn't like lack of air conditioning though in description of rooms they wrote, they have air conditioning in all the rooms. It was august mounth and pretty hot and sunny weather on the street therefore in room was very stuffily and opened window doesn't help.
About price i think it's a bit overestimated and even breakfast is not included, you need to extra pay for this. Also location is not best if you need to visit center of Helsinki often and it turns out is not economical option. We are selected this place only because we booked the hotel for one day before coming and we had not choise. So i don't think i'll visit it again if i need to stay in central area most of time but generally is not bad place and i reccomend it if central location is dosen't matter for you.

On this property cleaning is on a poor level, even in a allergy room shower room smells moldy, elevators are shabby and so on. When ordering beforehand a dinner for a many food allergy visitor, they don´t even border to deliver an order of that to the kitchen. First try was easy to see unexceptable, other was told to be made suitable. And yet, it concerned also particles making allergic reaction. When complaining about this to the restaurateur afterwards, he only said they are sorry but can not find anything to compensate their fatal error. Unless a free lunch in 180 kilometres distance is not a one... Avoid this if you can!!!

Stayed here for two nights for competion at the World Dog show in August. The AC was not working and no table fans was available. We had 27 C in our room during the night. It was impossible to sleep and the window was not able to open enough to let the air in. We gave a very gently complaint and they told us to compensate us for the broken AC. On the check-out day, the clerk did not know anything about the compensation and I had suggest her to phone the hotel manager to solv it. We payed 140 euro for the first night and 92 euro for the second night. In the end they gave us a compensation of 20 Euro!!!

Breakfast was not icluded in the price and for 8 Euros you get a terrible breakfast!! Poor fried bacon. Very bad bread. Everything was finished and we had to ask to get some more of almost everything. In the end we had to pay for the breakfast as well. We will not stay here again! Very bad handled by the staff.

I stayed at this hotel with a group last week as all central helsinki hotels were full.Given that it is a quarter of an hours train ride from the centre it is to say the least inconvenient if you are a tourist. The hotel itself is part of an office complex. The one good thing about this is that the rooms are quite large.Ours was double glazed as it overlooks the main road. The room became very warm with the sun streaming in.
the room though was basic. The bed was comfortable. However the chair in the room sagged, and the light fixture above my bed had an unprotected wire rubbing against a metal flange. There are no hand towels and a soap dish by the shower. The room was not cleaned or rubbish removed on saturday or sunday. When i enquired about this i was blandly told that the cleaner had not turned up.I endorse everything said about breakfast by the other reviewer having personally killed at least one ant!I hope to attach photos including one which will show uncovered wires trailing across the breakfast room floor.I too had the worry of arriving back at the hotel at 8pm only to find the place locked and having to ring a security guard to gain access. So do yourself a favour and dont go to this hotel. It may not be the worst that i have been to but it is in worst 10 ever.

Stayed six nights, May 09. A ten minute walk to the train station and a regular train service means the centre of Helsinki is only half an hour away. A half hourly (4 Euro) bus service to the airport also runs from the station. A combined train, bus, tram and Metro ticket is well worth the investment if wishing to travel around Helsinki. (1 day, 3 day, or 5 day).

Part of the hotel building seems to be used for offices. There is no cleaning or towel replacement over the weekend. In fact the reception is locked with no staff present at all after Sunday breakfast. Quite worrying, as we had a fire alarm incident during our stay. Don't know what we would have done, if it had happened on the Sunday.

There is now quite good free wireless internet, plus free use of computer, if requested. The rooms on the 4th floor are a good size with walk-in shower. Others complained of smoky smelling rooms on floor 2. No hand towels are provided. Instead, there is a paper towel dispenser, but bath towels are changed daily during the week. No tea or coffee making facility.

The TV was very small with no English speaking channels and could not be switched off with the remote. The beds, while initially comfortable, had a 3 inch foam rubber waffle type mattress overlay, which when combined with the usual cheap hotel duvet means waking up feeling too hot and clammy.

The breakfast room looks as if it had last been decorated (or cleaned) many years ago. The food choice was very poor, with cheap ingredients. Even so, the ants seem to enjoy it. There was no facility for evening meal. So it meant a trip over to the supermarket even to get a snack or a drink. Just as well the tap water in Finland is so good.

The attitude of the staff, was summed up, by the fact that a new patio had be laid with new table and chairs. Yet a couple of the chairs had been knocked over and laid on their sides for most of the time we were there.

A very handy place to stay if you can put up with the shortcomings. However, I wouldn't stay there again.

Expensive for its location and quality of facilities, in need of restoration. Suitable for quick stay and has secure parking but other than that service average and nothing positive of note in neighbourhood.

I needed a place to stay for a night between flights. Airport hotels were expensive (cheapest for 120e), and I got this room for 67e + breakfast 7e + buses to and from hotel 9e, and it filled all my needs for less than 12 hours stay. The room was large and had what you can expect and need for minimum. It is better than you could expect after negative feedback written here in 2009: the room is clean, there are towels and soap, there is also a minibar-fridge. My room had another door to the next room and some tv-voices were a bit distracting. The breakfast was simple but I think the price-quality -ratio was good enough. The hotel was easily reached by the airport by bus 519 to Malmi station.

The hotel Avion is quite expensive and it's quite far away from the center. There is a train driving from there every 15 mins to the center. But you still need around 7 minutes to get to the train station from the hotel so all in all you will need around half an hour one way to the center.

The breakfast starts a bit later during the weekends so we couldn't had breakfast, because we had to catch the train and go to the port for a one day trip to Tallinn.

Some of the staff members were all right, but there was a different person working at the reception every day so we had to explain everything all over again (we had some changes that needed to be made).
