The minute we entered the hotel, we were warmly greeted at the reception desk by Samuel, who efficiently checked us. He then kindly offered information about the hotel amenities and directions to Executive Lounge, the sauna, and where breakfast would be served. We enjoyed the delicious meals and relaxing sauna very much. My left leg started to hurt later and the next morning my husband and I decided it was time to get medical care. Again, it was Samuel to the rescue. He got us an appointment with a orthopedic specialist who spoke English for an hour and a half later! Samuel then got us a taxi and soon we were at the clinic. The Mehilainen Form Clinic (a medical provider with BCBS Global) provided exceptional service, and was super clean. After an exam by the orthopedic specialist, Dr. Tuomas, then a sonogram of the leg by Dr. Juhani, the condition was diagnosed and Rx ordered from a nearby pharmacy. Upon our return to the hotel, Samuel continued to show concern by offering a wheelchair and getting us a cab to the airport in a snowstorm. An amazingly beautiful experience at Hilton Strand Hotel in Helsinki, Finland.

Amazing natural setting close to downtown. The view from the room was breathtaking and the wildlife was entertaining. My wife was thrilled by the abundance of wild strawberries on the grounds. Everything was wonderful.

We booked a seaside suite with a wonderful fireplace on the fifth floor and We had a wonderful experience at the Hilton Kalastajatorppa Hotel. Room was clean, spacious, quiet, spectacular windows/balcony view and very comfortable. There were two bottles of water with few pieces of wrapped chocolate but who drinks bottled water in Helsinki where the tap water is of excellent quality! Taking in consideration this is a 5 star hotels, there was no welcoming fruit basket or little sparking wine, or little mementos that demonstrate the hotel is highly welcoming to their guests. Front desk staff were extremely efficient, professional, polite and helpful. The breakfast was amazing with so many choices hot dishes, cold cuts and pastries, and in particular, we loved the chia pudding! We ordered fried eggs and omelettes and were all tasty clean well presented and served fast. The staff at the breakfast room were attentive, responsive and quick to serve! They all went above and beyond to make our breakfast event comfortable and delightful. Big thanks to all of them! We dined at the hotel Restaurant (Meritorppa) . Great and clean food served by friendly and attentive staff, many thanks to all of them. This is the perfect hotel for a weekend getaway in Helsinki. High quality rooms, and high quality service. Beautiful seaside strand, indoor swimming pool and ofcourse the Sauna! The hotel hosted many dignitaries, celebrities and influential people. The hotel is few kilometers from city center close enough to public transportations, and, city center can be reached by a short ride. We probably will visit this hotel again to experience there the midsummer Eve magic! We highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Helsinki.

I have visited this hotel many times for past 20 years. And again they have met my expectations. Staff is friendly, attentive and professional). Room is not the most modern one, but still well equipped and providing all the comfort I need during a business travel. They have nice gym and pool. Another plus point is the very good (well a bit pricey) restaurant Meritorppa (see a separate review). Price per night is OK for the value provided. If you like to run or walk - there are a few nice outdoor options too.

The room and walkway is old and dated. I feel like I am walking into a horror movie setting especially when the room & toilet door creak at night with many annoying sounds interrupting my sleep. The receptionist is mix with some friendly and some rather rude staff. We have requested for late checkout but they were unable to confirm for us until the actual day itself. They also charge us for the late checkout despite having many empty rooms. The hotel is rather inconvenient - you have to either take a cab or the Tram 4 to the city center.

Stayed here for one night, picked the location to be close range to Espoo. As a Hilton Honors member I was gifted with a bag of water at check in, always a nice gesture. Front desk staff was very courteous both checking in and out. The room was nice, plenty of spaces to sit and counters/tables to lay your stuff out. Bathroom was not so nice. Very quiet to sleep, but the bed was tad too hard for my liking. Restaurant and bar were located outside at another structure. Food was very expensive but very good. Bar was tiny, but had a nice view to the ocean. Breakfast was located next to the lobby, and was hands down wonderful! Many options to choose from, options for people with food sensitivities as well. Very attentive staff, was asked my room number 3 different times.

The hotel was built in the late 60s / early 70s and has that era's almost brutalist architecture in some places. The accommodation is quite excellent with clean rooms, very comfortable beds and my room had a splendid shower. The hotel itself is in a very quiet area so food choices are limited but the secluded location means absolute silence at nights which is great. The reception area has a great set of photographs showing visits from many world leaders over the years. The restaurant has great views over the sea and the food was really good but the prices are high. Breakfast is excellent with a great set of choices.

The hotel is about 5-10 minutes away from the closest bus stop and public transport can be confusing for first-timers, so just be prepared for that bit of hassle. If you don’t mind having to walk to the bus stop for ten minutes, tho’, the ride to the center and bus terminals is about 15 minutes for roughly €3. So it’s not too bad. However, not ideal if your aim is doing a city trip. Indeed, the hotel can use a facelift and it smells a bit moldy. It’s still nice to use the sauna with sunset views and direct access to the lagoon. Breakfast, room amenities and service were up to par as well. Many possibilities for walks or sports, and there are lots of squirrels, bunny rabbits and geese on the premises that make it a pleasant experience.

I have stayed repeatedly in this hotel. Service is consistently good. Friendly front desk. I also like the location. Rooms are good size, well equipped and clean. If you can, get the seaside wing. Anyway both wings are quiet. I like to go for a run, there are good options here as the hotel is on the shore and close to wood area.

This hotel is not in the city Center, but there is tram, bus or taxi readily available for those who would like to go to the city Center or anywhere else. Distances are not A problem in Helsinki. There is A sauna and pool in this hotel and the breakfast if good. I urge you to try the restaurant with A view.
