Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I had my wedding at Villa Vuosanta's big villa (come with a backyard garden) on 25.06.2022. There were many mistakes that caused distress and dissatisfaction to me, my friends, and my family. All I needed was a smooth wedding with the agreed requirements. But that was ruined by the villa's unprofessionalism and the disappointing difference between the agreed services and what was provided. Worst of all, a shameless owner who took all the money upfront, and then doesn't care anymore about what happened to her customers. Perhaps the most disappointing thing was when I tried to explain all this to her, her responses concluded "nothing is my fault, everything is your fault". No apologies were given. 1. The biggest mistake was double booking me with another family. In our previous email exchange, the villa was promised to us for an entire Saturday. The other family didn't clear out until 11 AM on Saturday. This caused a delay in our wedding, we (the bride and groom) couldn't come early to the villa to get ready. Dozens of our guests, friends, and family had to wait for us because we couldn't get ready in time. We had a chat with the double-booked family and they told us that the owner had forgotten about my wedding and booked the villa for them from Wednesday to Sunday. 2. Dirty backyard garden: this was the second biggest mistake. In our phone call, the backyard was promised to be well-kept for our wedding. When we arrived on Friday 24.06 to prepare, the garden was messy with tall grasses, large fire pit holes on the ground and SO MUCH ANIMAL POOPS on the ground. We did not bring any animals on Friday or Saturday. These poops looked to be weeks old and they failed to clean them up. We had to tell the groundkeeper to mow the lawn right away, which caused us time to wait for him to finish. We also told him to clean up the animal poops but he did not do his job properly. When we came back the next day (Sartuday - our wedding day), there were still a lot of poops left. There was no villa personnel on site. My mother had to clean all the poops herself. Imagine if I had come only on Saturday without any preparation, my wedding would be filled with poops. We paid for a clean and tidy backyard to have our wedding there, not a dirty yard. What's worse was that we had to keep looking for the groundkeeper many times to point out which parts he need to mow the lawn and which parts he need to clean the poop! But still, he didn't do a proper job. We paid 1,250 EUR for this. This should've been done before we arrived. The owner knew my wedding ceremony will be in the backyard. When we expressed this to the owner she said that there were ducks coming into the yard and she cannot control them. (No apologies here). Sure, but she certainly can clean up the poops, it's her property and her responsibility. 3. Lack of cleaning: the house and the toilet were dirty. All of the paper hand towels in the toilets were WET. The toilets were dirty and smelly. Some of the tables are sticky on the surface. The house was in total disorder. WE were the ones cleaning everything, even the double-booked family helped. 4. The waiter and waitress from the villa were unprofessional, they dropped 5 glasses of champagne during our toast, broke the glasses, and spilled wine on our guests' shoulders. Full glasses of expensive champagne that were meant for our wedding toast, mind you. The waitress didn't bring the champagne out as instructed until we asked several times. They didn't serve and cut the cake as promised, my friend - THE GUEST had to do it. The owner's response to this? Still no apologies, only "they tried their best, maybe they didn't get good instructions". I've paid a lot of money for a clean villa and professional service, but what I got was not only bad, it was below standard. The cleanliness and organization of the villa were largely thanks to my friends and family, even the family that was double-booked. The owner failed to do her part of the agreement. Even after I voiced my dissatisfaction with the owner, she consistently refused to take responsibility and blamed it on us "why didn't you tell us sooner". Well, we did, but many times, her staff refused to comply (as told with the poopy backyard and the bad waitressing). But one thing she failed to understand is that we were supposed to just come and enjoy our wedding, not do 90% of her job, which is to prepare the venue and tell her people what to do. If you're considering having your wedding here, please take my advice and have your wedding somewhere else. Don't let your dream day be ruined.

DO NOT RENT THIS PLACE!!! We saw the location was great and ignored the bad reviews on here. We regret renting this place. Here is a list of things that went wrong: 1. They double booked. We booked the place for entire Saturday. Plus setup on starting on Friday afternoon and clean up until noon on Sunday. We show up to find another family staying there. The other family said they were booked for the ENTIRE WEEKEND. The family contacted the host and was FORCED to move out of the villa. 2. Because of double book, we could not setup on friday as promised by the host. We did not allow to set up until noon on Saturday because we had to wait for the family to move out. 3. THE PLACE IS NOT AS NICE AS THE PICTURE. We ask the host to guarantee that the place is similar to the picture since we booked and viewed the place in the winter but our event is in the summer. The host guaranteed in email that it will be clean of tall grass and animal poop. When we arrive to setup for even, the grass was higher than our knees. There was 1 ground keeper who have not enough equipment to cut the grass. We ended up having either very tall grass or large dead patches of grass (due to likely fire pits). 4. We attempted to contact the host to complain about the issues. The host essentially told us to f*k off. We nicely complain and we met with the host saying that they never agreed to our Friday and Sunday setup time (Which we have them agreed to in email prior). And the host refuse to admit they did no ground keeping (We took pictures of how bad it was). Even the other family that rented the place had issues with how things were ran by the host. tl;dr DO NOT RENT THIS PLACE. WE TRIED TO WORK WITH THE HOST AND THEY REFUSED TO WORK WITH US.

Villa Vuosanta has very beautiful premises and is a perfect place for parties, team days etc. Sauna is close to coast and there is even a jacuzzi close to the sea. However the gluten free lunch was not the highlight of the day. Having the rye bread in the beginning of the line, close to main dishes, raised up the risk for contamination. Same concern was with gluten free bread close to butter spreading area. Fortunately there were no contamination happening for any of us, so it looked riskier than it was. Lunch was very basic Finnish home food, nothing fancy, but the surroundings added the extra flavour.

Villa Vuosanta has a villa, meeting facilities, a cottage and two saunas for rent. You can rent any or all of the facilities for your party, event, meeting etc. I have been here once in the middle of the winter for a sauna party: we rented the seaside sauna with an outdoor jacuzzi. It was really nice and having a bath under the stars in a wintery night is ofcourse pretty magical. The second time we met here with our colleagues from work to have a workshop. We rented one of the buildings in the area and had breakfast and lunch, too. The location is extremely beautiful in mid May; spectacular view over the sea, lots of flowers in the garden... The is both a sandy beach and rocks. The place can be reached with public transportation - or you can take a walk throguh the woods from Vuosaari metro-station.

Charming! Stayed here as part of a wedding party for one night in May 2011. The villa is located about 20-30 minute drive outside of Helsinki. Situated in a forest area and right on the water it has a very secluded feel. The accommodation is very basic. A little faded, banged up and shabby but nonetheless very lovely. The villa has a large and smaller space downstairs as well as a kitchen. (perfect for a catered wedding dinner) There are about 4-5 bedrooms. Very basic but clean. In the garden there is a separate little house that has two bedrooms and a bathroom (there was no hot water). I believe there is one more tiny separate building with one or two bedrooms. There is no rest- or bathroom in the main house. In the garden there are very clean and modern restrooms and a large sauna with showers. Furthermore there is a boathouse that is set up for dancing. If you are looking for elegance and style this place is not for you. If you are searching for a welcoming, no- frills location for a (wedding) party this villa is lovely.
