We stayed at U14 for 4 nights from the 28th of April. The staff is incredibly accommodating and welcoming and bends over backward to help guests. I had the most contact with Elizaveta, Tanja and Gi-- in the dining room, and I can't say enough good things about how welcoming and attentive they were, We got a room upgrade since my friend is an elite Marriott member, which is a plus. My friend travels all the time for work and she said that it was one of the best hotels she's experienced as far as friendly and helpful service. The hotel is well maintained and pleasant. Check out the cool clock in the lobby! There is a gym and sauna. It is a business-friendly hotel too. The breakfasts were very good with a wide selection for every pallet. I'm vegan and didn't go hungry. The location is great and within walking distance to most sites in the city. It's also on the water and two minutes from Market Square. I recommend this hotel with no hesitation to tourists, locals, and business people. Thanks for a memorable time!…
We stayed as a family at U14 in April for 3 nights. We were VERY warmly welcomed at check-in and our rooms were lovely. Clean, stylish, upscale with some quirky touches that loved. The breakfast buffet and restaurant were great and the location was excellent for touring the city. As a Bonvoy member this hotel was my first choice in Helsinki and we were extremely happy with our stay and with the high-quality personal services we experienced there.
Fantastic hotel. Great service throughout the hotel. Rooms are super nice. Restaurant has probably best breakfast we’ve ever had along with great service. And menus for dinner and their cocktails are innovative and excellent. And hotel location. Is perfect for exploring Helsinki. Just excellent experience.
I stayed at the U14 the week of the 4th of April. The hotel is astonishingly good. From the moment you walk through the front door to the time you leave the service is impeccable. Kind, not pretentious. The rooms are spacious. Highly recommend this place.
Helsinki is not a city shock full of great hotels, I have not found one I completely liked before. Hotel U14 (Autograph) opened in 2020 and I tried it for the first time. I had a nice stay and can recommend this hotel, however it should be noted that this might not be the best fit for people looking for large suite upgrades as Marriott Bonvoy elites. My upgrade as Marriott Ambassador Elite was originally to a Luxe room which was of a decent size by European standards (30 sqm) and built to a high standard such that it could be considered close to Luxury Collection. That room was on a low floor but with the double-glazed windows at least 10 cm apart we could not hear traffic noise from the street. The hotel fully belongs in the Autograph Collection for its non-boring design and I liked the hippo theme in the room. In the middle of our stay a corner suite became available and we moved to that room type (best available at that hotel) on a high floor. Obviously there was more space available and 1.5 bathroom which was convenient, but as far as suites go it was rather small at 41 sqm. If I compare to Hotel St.George (Design), many suites at StG are larger than the corner suite at U14 so if needing extra space U14 might not be the answer. Also one other negative I noticed about the suite is that we had a connecting door to another room and soundproofing was not as great as it was from the outer wall/windows – we could hear guests in the adjoining room. From our living room we had a small glimpse of the sea between buildings. Breakfast was good quality and the weekend version which extended to 2pm was quite popular with locals and non-guests of the hotel. There was an a la carte menu on weekends but it was out of bounds for the Platinum-Titatinum-Ambassador breakfast which was limited to the buffet, same as on week days. The buffet had a few dishes which stood out to make it an enjoyable breakfast instead of exclusively having standard items found anywhere else in the world. I particularly enjoyed the Succotash and the baked apples & oats. Overall U14 is solid and I would consider it upon returning to Helsinki. In general I value suite upgrades and here I suspect they don’t have many of them which makes the odds somewhat moderate. In addition, suites are not much larger than Luxe rooms anyway so when staying at U14 I would have to accept that I will not have the most space but the hardware will be very nice. If willing to pay more, Hotel St.George is clearly a notch above and has specialty suites available which are more spacious.…
Umpteenth trip to wonderful Helsinki, but our first stay at U14. What a gem of a hotel, From the first moments in reception, with very friendly and welcoming service and great decor (check out the amazing clock!), everything was of the highest quality. Rooms are large and newly furnished, the breakfast lives up to the hype and an evening dinner in the restaurant Version was delicious and beautifully presented. My only regret is that there were no cocktails available the night we were in the bar - next time hopefully...
Loved everything about the hotel. The staff are super nice and helpful, the breakfast is more than you can expect-it’s really good. The room was comfortable and the location is at the city center. Would definitely come back and I can’t wait to do so.
Stylish and spacious rooms, excellent customer service. Love the lobby bar and restaurant. Great breakfast in stylish surrounding. Very nice decor throughout. Great location for exploring downtown Helsinki.
Perfect location next to the sea, parks, markets and downtown Helsinki. Extremely cozy for a world class hotel and the hospitality is really personal and genuine. From my experience best breakfast in town. Worth noting, lovely cocktail bar run by ambitious mixologists and the restaurant is hosted by one of Finland's top chefs. Everything's brand new and the spacious room are filled up with designer items.
Came for a theater weekend at Helsinki. We stayed at Hotel U14 now for second time. Hotel is conveniently located within walking distance from city center, but you could also use a tram, which stop is very near. Sea is also very near. There is a nice running route along the shore, starting near the hotel. Staff was extremely nice and considerate. Room was clean, spacious and modern. Ours had bathtube also. There was a wall long window with a view. Breakfast was excellent. Continental style with everything. You could also order something of your liking. At Sunday breakfast is extended until 14:00 which is very convenient for different travel schedules. I would recommend this hotel heartily.
