Prime location in the city center. Very nice hotel and comfortable rooms. There are construction project outside of the hotel, so it’s not easy to pull over sometimes. But since the hotel is quite close to the main road, just a few steps away from taxi stand.

Having now visited two times here, I have to say, If you prefer best of the best, this is the one. The hotel is the only hotel in Finland accepted to and accredited by the Leading hotel in the world (LHW), at the moment anyway. The building dates back to the end of the 1800. Very classic and reconstructed with piety. Interior design is very beautiful with rich details. The bathroom in std room was spacious, with both shower and bathtub, surfaces of marble. The personnel is very friendly and helpful and somehow almost magically always there. This all reminded me a certain hotel in NY, except the Kamp is in a better shape and the infrastructure is working properly. Over 30€ for breakfast per person is rather pricy. The Kamp bar is iconic. Lots of expensive wool suits and silk ties. - Personally, a modest and humble man I am, for time to time I felt a bit uneasy because of the constant caring recognition of the staff, though I know they really did their best. When you need a true pampering experience, choose Kamp (Kämp).

There was a good offer for Finnair Plus members. The Executive room was 246 euros. The rate was flexible and included breakfast. The normal rate would have been 410 euros.
This time we got our room from the old wing. There are only two Executive rooms #610 and #810 in the old wing where the suites are located. Most Executive rooms are located in the new wing.
The room layout was very different from the new wing Executive rooms. The best part was the window in the bathroom. There are only a very few rooms at this hotel that have a window in the bathroom.
Otherwise, the new wing rooms feel more spacious. This time there was a connecting corridor to the Tove Jansson Junior Suite next door that took some of the space away. However, it was nice to see this type of room. We have been in the new wing Executive rooms so many times.
Executive rooms and all suites have access to the Upper Lounge where is a drink and snack service from 15:30-17:30. This time, the service was the best we have encountered at this lounge. The lounge was busy but the waitress kept everything under her control and was very attentive.
The breakfast at the restaurant was very busy. We got a table with plenty of traffic passing by. There were no other options available. The hotel is selling the breakfast also to non-hotel guests at a sale price. I wonder if it is wise because of the pandemic.

We travelled in june, a bit like bambi who has not travelled for a while but it was such a delight to step in to Kamps luxury. Very sweet people took care of us in the reception and we got really good rooms at the 8.th floor. Its classy old school and we really appreciated it. Beautiful bathrooms with robes and neccesseties like soap body lotions and the hotels bath duck was also a funny surprise. As we were there working we had several meals in the bar- really nice burger one day and fish the other day. The bar has a nice place with outdoor seating that we also enjoyed. Staff was super attentive- and the location of KAMP- well no need to look for a more central and convenient place.

Executive rooms are spacious rooms facing Kluuvikatu. They have access to the Upper Lounge where is served small snacks with drinks from 15:30 to 17:30.
Nordic Choice Platinum members don't get any upgrades if they have booked an Executive room. According to the receptionist, all suites are excluded from the upgrades. However, there was a welcome pack including half bottle of red wine and chocolates waiting for us.
Executive rooms are nearly as spacious as half of the Junior suites. The biggest difference is that Junior suites have a park view and a complimentary room service breakfast.
The hotel seemed to be quite busy during our stay. The lounge service was not at its best. There was one long-term guest who stole all the attention. The breakfast was very pleasant on the terrace.

We spent Christmas in this beautiful hotel. Hotel Kamp was comfortable and elegant. The location was convenient and quiet. We had a courtyard view room on the 9th floor. The staff was helpful, friendly and made us feel welcome.
Our room was spacious & comfortable and turndown service included chocolates and a bottle of wine.
We had our Christmas dinner at the restaurant. The food was good, not excellent. Breakfast the next day was also good. However, If you are looking for a grand buffet style, you may want to try someplace else. Hotel Kamp has a nice, basic breakfast buffet offering traditional Finnish breakfast items and also an array of continental type items. It was perfect for us. The restaurant and bar are quite lovely with a nice variety of seating options. Large windows looking out to the Esplanade area make for great people watching.
Overall, a great stay in a beautiful hotel. We also stayed at a nearby hotel while in town. Hotel Kamp is my preferred for Helsinki.

We had our 1st annibersary celebrated in Kämp. Room was big, clean and had that old spirit. We ordered dinner from room service, everything tasted beautiful, but steak was little bit cold. Breakfast was delireved to room (thanks to Covid 19) and it was great! Would definitely recommend if you need a break and need some luxury!

My partner had booked a surprise "Magic of Love" package for us whilst staying in a junior suite for one night. Service had been excellent from the point of booking and continued throughout our stay. The level of detail the staff went in to in order to provide everything to our liking was extraordinary.
The suite itself was very nice, with a large bathroom with both a bath and a separate shower. The spacious hallway had plenty of storage and the separate bedroom had a king size bed, a lounge area and a large desk, with lovely views over the park. The bed was very comfortable - I am normally very fussy with pillows and I had nothing but praise for the bedding in the room :) Another delightful thing was that you can actually open the windows properly! I find that a rare treat these days. The air-conditioning was perfect as well.
The only negative I have to say about the room is that the bathroom had no plug for my hair straighteners. And all the other plugs around the room were nowhere near a mirror which made it very difficult to do my hair. First world problems, I know :)
The package included a bottle of champagne with a fruit basket delivered to the room, a foam bath, in room breakfast and late check out at 2 pm. The suite accommodation also normally includes access to the executive lounge, but due to the covid situation the lounge was closed during our visit so they delivered additional drinks and finger food to the room instead. Everything was delicious but I particularly enjoyed the breakfast in the room. It included a hot dish of scrambled egg, bacon, fried potatoes and tomatoes, plenty of bread and pastries, fresh fruit, yogurt etc. A very good spread and it was lovely to enjoy it in the peace and quiet of the room. The late check out was great as well - to be able to lounge around after breakfast without any hurry.
All in all, our stay was fab and I would go back in a heartbeat. In our opinion, the service was excellent. Every member of staff we came across were all friendly and helpful and we genuinely felt everyone wanted to make our stay the best possible. This should be the norm but very sadly seems to be the exception these days. Kämp delivered on all levels.

The location is strictly central, the rooms are cozy and comfortable, the service is impeccable. It's a pleasant atmosphere when you enter the room before going to bed and see that your bed has just been made and that good night chocolates have been left for you. In many hotels that are in older buildings, there is the problem of an extra few steps when you have to drag your suitcase up or down them to get to the room. Here it was solved effectively, the elevators stop even halfway up the floor, so the approach to each room is comfortable. The hotel also has a very pleasant lounge for executive guests, where every afternoon you can have a drink and relax in a peaceful atmosphere with selected music. The only "complaint" that is not really a complaint is that for breakfast, a hotel like this could offer a slightly larger selection of food.

Stayed there en route to Berlin for two nights. The check in was very friendly and the front desk also assisted ably with restaurant booking. The Kamp is a hotel steeped in tradition and is really well located in the heart of Helsinki shopping area. The room is not big but it is well maintained. The oak paneling in the rooms add to the air of tradition. Breakfast is in the best of the European tradition with an emphasis on cheese, smoked meats etc.
The gym is well equipped and appears to have been recently upgraded.
All in all, a good stay.

Hi FlyingFinn - I do not think so but I would humbly advise to reach out to the hotel Manager on Duty (Milla Liljanko) to see if other options are available.
I wonder if these questions and comments are coming from real people who have actually stayed there. There was no sauna in our room, nor does the property advertise such, as far as I know. But we had an incredibly spacious room, that was perfectly sound-proofed and beautifully furnished. The bathroom was fully furnished. The bed was one of the best I have slept on (and I am picky). Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful to a fault. The breakfast buffet was lavish and top notch, with friendly service to boot. This is a true 5-star hotel.
There are more places to choose from in the Helsinki area.
