This is well worth a visit and especially during summer. High quality feeling started already outside of the hotel and service was great. Almost all the details were thought through and only thing what bother was redicilous light switches in the room, same way as 99% of the hotels. It's not that big thing to add intelligent room controls to the rooms. Hotel bar and breakfast restaurant was excellent and big plus for having enough staff to grant the high end service!

Hotel's Favourite
Honest Helsinki hotel reviews This is the crown jewel of the hotels here in Helsinki. Whole hotel oozes of luxury and wealth. Furnishings and decor is out of this world and reminds me the style of the 19th century. Hotel Kamp is truly in league of It's own compared to other hotels in Finland. There is no hotel in Helsinki that is anywhere near as grandiose as Hotel Kamp. Hotel Kamp is on the top of the food chain and something that every hotel wishes to be. It has such a long and rich history that you could write a book about it. Interior design is just breathtaking. Beautiful luxurious chandeliers, pillars, grand stairwells, mirror halls i could continue this list on and on but it would take too long for one review to list everything that kamp has to offer and see. Kamp is not only a hotel, place to rest your weary head but wonder, sight that everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime. Room We stayed in executive room which was spacious and everything in the room oozed classical style, that glamour of old. Stunningly beautiful and spacious marble bathroom had separate bath and shower plus double sinks.  King size bed was extremely comfortable and I didn't wake up a single time which was something out of ordinary as usually in hotels I have difficulties to sleep well. Dominating aspect of the room was huge writing desk. Sitting behind it made me feel like a king. It is easily the best hotel room we've ever been. Tv of course had chromecast but as we went to marvel the hotel we didn't have really time or interest to use it. Views from window were to a shopping street but we were not here to look from the window and if anything room itself was the view. Fun touch was the rubber duck in bathtub which kept me company while I was relaxing and soaking my body in hot water after my tough workout. Remember if you book yourself executive room you also get access to beautiful upper lounge where you can enjoy free soft drinks, beers, wines and snacks. I recommend it as kamp experience wouldn't be complete without it. Wherever in hotel we went we always felt welcomed and service was always top notch. When I told I would be using spa and gym they gave us executive room from the same floor which was such a nice gesture and so thoughtful of them.  Gym Even though not the biggest gym I've seen in the hotel it was still adequate and it did fit for my workout style perfectly well. Equipments were fairly new and had good amount of variety to do all i needed to do for upper body workout. If workout makes you hungry and you need some quick way to energise yourself then don't forget to grab some fruits from the fruit bowl. Spa The spa area had two saunas finnish and steam one. Area for relaxation along with the treatment rooms. Perhaps biggest omission was that spa didn't have a pool. In my opinion after everything else we had experienced spa perhaps wasn't up to same high standards as everything else in the hotel. Spa was perhaps the lowest point of the hotel but I still wouldn't say the experience was bad in any way. It was just bit small. Breakfast Breakfast was served in first floor restaurant. At breakfast staff came to ask regularly if we needed anything and they were always polite and every request we had was met with a smile. After let down of St George we were pleasantly surprised that Kamp did triumph it even in breakfast category as selection was nicely varied with huge selection of different kind of juices. Omelet that i ordered to the table was delicious as was my wife's pancake. We loved to sit on the enclosed terrace while enjoying our breakfast and watching Helsinki wake up slowly to a new day. It was another little luxurious moment which completed our stay. Final thoughts What can i say that i haven't said already. If you are searching the most luxurious hotel in Helsinki then search no more as this is it. You can't get any better than this in Helsinki.  Of course it was not cheap but it was truly worth of every penny we paid. If you have the money then I recommend right away to upgrade to at least executive room as then you get access to kamp upper lounge which is experience of its own. In beautiful upper lounge they serve you alcohol and non alcoholic drinks and tasty snacks between 3:30 pm until 5:30 pm. Room itself was also sight for sore eyes and had that beautiful classical style that reminded me of 19th century. Bed was extremely comfortable and we slept our night well. Staff and service was top notch and always there when we needed them. Always smiling and happy to help. Gym was adequate and had everything I needed for good upper body workout. Breakfast was surprisingly good. We were bit afraid if it's similar to St George but our fears were quickly put aside as kamp breakfast buffet had much wider selection of foods and drinks. Truly 5 star hotel even in breakfast category. We will be going kamp again later in march and that alone should tell how good the experience was.

My partner had booked a surprise "Magic of Love" package for us whilst staying in a junior suite for one night. Service had been excellent from the point of booking and continued throughout our stay. The level of detail the staff went in to in order to provide everything to our liking was extraordinary. The suite itself was very nice, with a large bathroom with both a bath and a separate shower. The spacious hallway had plenty of storage and the separate bedroom had a king size bed, a lounge area and a large desk, with lovely views over the park. The bed was very comfortable - I am normally very fussy with pillows and I had nothing but praise for the bedding in the room :) Another delightful thing was that you can actually open the windows properly! I find that a rare treat these days. The air-conditioning was perfect as well. The only negative I have to say about the room is that the bathroom had no plug for my hair straighteners. And all the other plugs around the room were nowhere near a mirror which made it very difficult to do my hair. First world problems, I know :) The package included a bottle of champagne with a fruit basket delivered to the room, a foam bath, in room breakfast and late check out at 2 pm. The suite accommodation also normally includes access to the executive lounge, but due to the covid situation the lounge was closed during our visit so they delivered additional drinks and finger food to the room instead. Everything was delicious but I particularly enjoyed the breakfast in the room. It included a hot dish of scrambled egg, bacon, fried potatoes and tomatoes, plenty of bread and pastries, fresh fruit, yogurt etc. A very good spread and it was lovely to enjoy it in the peace and quiet of the room. The late check out was great as well - to be able to lounge around after breakfast without any hurry. All in all, our stay was fab and I would go back in a heartbeat. In our opinion, the service was excellent. Every member of staff we came across were all friendly and helpful and we genuinely felt everyone wanted to make our stay the best possible. This should be the norm but very sadly seems to be the exception these days. Kämp delivered on all levels.

An excellent visit to Helsingfors I frequently visit Helsingfors and usually I stay at this hotel. This time I came here for one night in the beginning of this week. The purpose of my visit was to have some time off from work, and to do some light shopping for Mother’s Day. I live myself nearby in Åbo so this establishment is conveniently close to me. Furthermore, it’s well located in close vicinity to Svenska Teatern, Stockmann, Dela Marga and many of the other main attractions. Pros: I had emailed the hotel for an early check-in, and upon arrival I got one. The receptionist who checked me in was very welcoming and spoke Swedish very well. She even said to me “Välkommen tillbaka” So she knew that I’d stayed previously there. In addition, she offered me a late checkout, which gave me a good impression. When I got to the room, I noticed that there were some complimentary gifts for me a fruit basket and some chocolate bites. These were much appreciated. The room was luxurious and came with a marble bathroom with a separate shower and a bathtub. I managed to get a good night’s sleep in the comfortable bed. The breakfast manager was also very polite and offered me a lovely table with a view to the park. Additionally, she knew how to speak French, which was a nice touch. Despite the pandemic the breakfast buffet had a fair amount of variety, and it was possible to choose from different hot dishes. Cons: I didn’t experience any major problems during my stay; however, the following could have improved my experience. Although the room came with tea making facilities, there were no biscuits or anything else with the tea. Both hotel St George and Hotel Haven have given up on having plastic bottles in the rooms, but the Kämp still continues to use bottled water. I understand that in countries with poor quality drinking water this is necessary, however tap water in Finland is perfectly drinkable.

Suite - a bit bigger room. I’m used to suites meaning a separate bedroom and living room. In upper lounge that was included in suite very dissapointing experience: very slow service, very tiny and modest finger food and they forgot our last request: water and if possible more finger food. They simply forgot and when I told them this, I got the feeling they were not interested. Is this the five star experience in Helsinki. I’d three plus.
